See above. I've never watched it because the previews looked terrible. I never understood why they would remake it, especially so close to the original release.

Edit: Yeah, it was a US version.

What's nin? Gin? If so, I hate the taste myself, it's about the only alcohol I can't drink  :D

I should add that if it were not for a spell checker my posts would be incomprehensible!

oops. My bad. Nine Inch Nails. The musical group. It's where my signature comes from.

I'm still mad at Trent for covering his great songs with his new wife. What the hell? I think I heard one decent song from them, oddly enough it was a cover of a NIN song... I miss NIN.

Ah, I wish I had spotted this topic earlier, I was flailing around with how to do exactly this sort of thing and ended up with a makeshift version of this in my introductory post.

1. I have a fairly musical background, which didn't necessarily translate to post-college life.  Played Trumpet for band, jazz bands and marching bands from my last year of elementary school all the way to my university days.  College marching band was one of the most fun.  Also did choir my last two years of high school.
2. I eventually grew to like Guns 'n' Roses because my brother always played them.  I found my own favorite band fairly late in life: Queensryche.  I'm just a casual fan.  My usual choice of music are movie soundtracks.
3. I like substitute teaching for upper elementary school grades and high school.  Middle school kids are disconcerting, play mind games endlessly.
4. I have ADD, an extremely non-hyperactive variant that has gone unnoticed for a very long time.  This has given me some very serious difficulty in life.
5. I swing dance, and know East Coast, Charleston, Balboa and my personal favorite the lindy-hop.  I also have a little bit of West Coast and an introduction to ballroom dancing.
6. I'm a "crippled bookworm."  College reading assignments killed the passion, and I've been trying to rehabilitate the joy, my stamina for longer reading stints, and reading speed.  Lately I've settled into a pattern of bouncing between short stories (Lovecraft, Sherlock Holmes, Rudyard Kipling, Robert E. Howard) and comic books (front burner comic series are Marvel Star Wars, Classic G.I. Joe, Buffy Season 8, backburners series include the Star Wars X-Wing comics and DC Star Trek Volume 1).  Occasionally I'll brave a longer book.
7. I like tracing inspirational sources for favorite works of fiction.  So, Star Wars lead me to The Hidden Fortress, Joseph Campbell, Galactic Patrol, and Edgar Rice Burrough's Princess of Mars trilogy.  A couple of Doctor Who novels lead me to H.P. Lovecraft, which lead to Robert E. Howard, Fritz Leiber, Dunsany, and Robert W. Chambers.  This ties in to...
8. I am fascinated by the writing process.  So, I've accumulated quite a number of books on writing; Stephen King's On Writing, How to Write Fantasy Literature, Russell T. Davis' A Writer's Tale.  I love movie and TV documentaries and commentaries that specifically go over the evolution of a production's story.  This lead to my next item...
9. I dabble a little bit in fan fiction, but mainly for practice writing.  I have a handful of ideas of my own that I tinker away at as well.  In general, I like creative writing of a highly imaginative type.
10. I like cats, but I'm pretty good at making friends with a lot of animals (so my wife tells me).

Like reading about everyone.....I:

1. Am a pinsetter mechanic at a bowling alley.  Have been for going on 18 years.

2. Hobbies are baseball (Royals fanatic), books (sci-fi, history, and military history), and I play Advanced
Squad Leader.  That should put me squarely in the nerd category....

3. Could watch documentaries all day long.....

4. My daughter calls me "the king of useless information"....kind of proud of that actually!

5. Have two daughters who are collegiate bowlers at a Catholic University.

6. Love to fish

7. Have never been on an airplane.

8. Thought that Stephen Donaldson was the greatest author ever until I read Steven Erikson, then I realized I was wrong.....

9. Am quickly becoming a serious environmentalist.

10. Want to see Germany, England, France, Ireland, Italy, and Canada before I kick the bucket.....tall order!
The school is the last expenditure upon which America should be willing to economize.

5. I tend to collect random things in large quantities, then toss them out wondering what I was thinking (bottle caps, odd items)
6. Used to be a serious introvert, only recently have I come out of my shell, for lack of a better phrase
7. I may forget things shortly after hearing/seeing/etc them, but I'll remember them later anyway
8. Total gun geek, and I always correct people on mag vs clip, bullet vs round (only in a light-hearted sense)
9. I also have more books than I've read, I need to finish the 12 Stephen King books I have (relating to #5)
10. I overthink every decision I have.
"I wait for a miracle every day, but what I've seen here has only tested my patience, not my faith." - Fox Mulder

Wiggum:"You have that much faith in me, Homer?"
Homer:"No! Faith is what you have in things that don't exist. Your awesomeness is real."

"I was thinking that perhaps this thing called God does not exist. Because He cannot save any one of us. No matter how we pray, He doesn't mend our wounds.

Awolf26

1. I am a father who never mentions religion around my daughter, so that she can decide for herself. However, I encourage her to think skeptically and scientifically about everything
2. I am will have my PhD in 2 years
3. I pretended to believe in a god for 4 years until I read Dawkins. Now I'm probably the most open atheist/skeptic/freethinker/humanist I know. However, I still pretend to pray at my mother's house, for her sake.
4. I enjoy film and television very much. It's a hobby.
5. I love metal. If there is a god, his name is Devin Townsend
6. I have 2 cats. Names: Fat Cat & Fluff Cat. Fluff is fluffy and Fat is mildly overweight.
7. I'm not using my real name on here because I am published in the social sciences and I want people to find my work, not my leisure (my name is Adam).
8. I like to play video games (PS3, though I have a new desktop so I've been playing Team Fortress 2 a lot lately)
9. I have many tattoos and will continue to get them
10. I am super liberal

Ironically, some of my research revolves around pronoun use and narcissism. The amount of "I"s in this post are killing me.

Munchkin Goddess

6. I love vampires, but HATE the Twilight series.
7. I have ADHD.
8. The medication I take for ADHD, Adderall has caused me to lose 50lbs in the past year and a half. But I'm technically 80lbs overweight, so it's cool. Not that I ever cared about my weight, but I didn't need to change my diet. I just ate smaller portions.
9. I am 24 years old, 4 feet 9 and a 3/4 inches. According to the Little People of America Association, since I am under 4'10", I am technically a "little person".
10. I find "little person" offensive and prefer "midget". I have also been called "shorty", "Munchkin", "Ewok" (but I'm not that hairy), and "short shit". Those are okay too. Just don't call me a little person or dwarf.
