My husband has always been a baseball fan. Still to this day my mother-in-law buys him shirts of his team (we have since moved away and she lives in his teams area) and cards. He's not a crazed fan though, just a big fan. She did it for my children also and my daughter became a teen mom last year so my mother-in-law has gotten my grandson a team onesie, but just recently a shirt.

His father (my daughters boyfriend) pulls the shirt off of him when they went over to his house. Claiming we are pushing him into sports. My husband is the only one who watches sports, the rest of us have no care. To me, it's just a dang shirt I didn't have to buy. (And yes, I buy a lot and babysit a lot!)

My daughters, boyfriends, parents are deeply into church. They take the baby, and I never had much difficulty with it. Everyone is free to choose is my feeling. After this though, I want to confront them and tell them to quit pushing religion down his throat! Just for spite and probably wrong, but I feel I need to draw the don't EFF with me line. My daughter is in school and works, I am full-time college, we always provide for the baby and I watch him while she finishes school. They take him when they get a free moment which is hardly ever! 4 jobs, 3 people there. 1 job, 6 people here and WE provide for him more.

I hate that I'm feeling so pissed over a shirt. But then, I think I have a right to be.

Weird behaviour about the shirt, what's wrong with sport? I would have though it would have been a non-issue, except if the two families supported different teams and then it would simply be friendly rivalry?

That is slightly odd, even bordering on fanatical.

I have to see if this is a typo, I sure hope it is. If your family has only one job between 6 people, that's f-ing pathetic. If it was a typo, the same holds true. Regardless, I hope 5 out of the six are under the age of 15.

Edit: Well you said your daughter works and goes to school and you simply go to school, despite being a grandmother, so I doubt it was a typo... I'm guessing she is the one productive individual in your family.

^This is completely out of line, if you can't be civil then don't post at all.

I thought about rivals too, but they don't seam to be into any sports. It was just really weird.

And the post about the jobs, my husband has the job. I am full-time college who quit my job to watch her baby while she finished high school. My daughter is full-time college and recently found a part-time job. (But we supported for the babies first year.) And my 17 yr old son has a job. We do not require them to pay for household bills, just their insurance, gas, and wants that I can't provide for. So it's basically one job supporting the household. (See, don't be so quick to jump.)  ;)

I don't like to be hateful, but things like this are getting close to the straw that broke the camels back.

Ok, well I would like to apologize. Admittedly, I had been drinking and did indeed jump to an incorrect conclusion. I do that a bit, thankfully it's less embarrassing when I have the "sometimes" anonymity of the internet.

It is simply a personal pet peeve of mine when people refuse to work, etc. Regardless, I was out of line and would like to apologize.

In closing, I would like to add it's nice to see a family where the under 18's work :-).

No problem, I have stuck my foot in my mouth on my second posting due to my box wine! (And big mouth, lmao)

My last line on that other post "straw that broke the camels back" was meant for the topic at had too, not your post.

It would be completely presumptious of me to speak and think that I know anything about this situation. I do know that people want to be happy and free of problems. And a lot of stress causes people to break down and not think correctly. Try to help yourself, without hurting others.
