Hello everyone!

My name is David and I live in Arizona. I was raised as a christian catholic but as long as I can remember (around 9-11 yrs old) I truly doubted their practices and their basic logic so I told my parents at age 14 that I did not believe in god. My mom freaked, my dad tried to understand and we had an on-going battle. 10 years later my father is an atheist and my mother a devouted catholic.
That is my story in a paragraph. About me; I love going off roading in my Jeep, I love my three dogs (Hermes the German Sheperd, Socrates the Rottweiler, and Bolt the Red Heeler), I love kayaking, I love 90's Spanish Rock, I love/hate politics, I love close communities, I love philosophy, I love car mechanics, I love freedom fighters (Simon Bolivar, Ernesto Guevara, Vladimir Lenin, Leon Trotsky, our founding fathers, etc.), and last but not least I love the idea of communism. Thank you and I look forward on meeting nice people around here.

P.S. I love the forum name. :)

Hello David

You love Freedom fighters and you love communism. They seem a bit contradictory to me.
Have you read Jung Chang's Wild Swan or Li Cunxin's Moa's Last Dancer, gives a view of what Communism was like in China.
Lots of poverty, lots of hardship, little choice, little family focus, country comes first, do as you are told.

Hello Jeepero. Welcome to HAF!  :)

To me the idea of Communism in a perfect setting would always seem to work, but alas, the world is not perfect.

And I really really want a Jeep. My father and I are already looking at a couple of pre-owneds in my area. But we've heard that they dont really last long, so he's kinda on the fence. We'll see.

River: (speaking about the Bible) "It's broken. It doesn't make sense."
Shepherd Book: "It's not about making sense. It's about believing in something, and letting that belief be real enough to change your life. It's about faith. You don't fix faith, River. It fixes you."

Of the freedom fighters I mentioned Ernesto Guevara, Vladimir Lenin, and Leon Trotsky all fought for communism. China is not communist. China is an Oligarchy just like we are (the United States.) COMMUN(ism) is ruled by the community (everyone). Communism is the final stage of democracy. This is what most freedom fighters fight for.

The 6-in-line 4.0 is one of the best engines around. I've had mine for four years and never given me a problem. I have of couse broke a thing here and there but thats because I go off-roading at least once a month. My off-roading is to very tall dunes and weather is not always cold in Arizona.  :P I love my Jeep and my next car will also be a Jeep. I would encourage you to get one and see for yourself. You wont regret it. They are a lot of fun. The bad thing is that you pockets will always be empty because there are cool things everywhere for Jeeps. I'll post a picture of mine when I get back from work.

I don't know much about America but I'm sure the government doesn't hand pick your jobs or the town/city that you get to live in, and I'm sure you haven't given up your kitchen to eat in the communal area that everyone else eats from.

Absolutely not. That is the exact reason I handpicked the United States and compare it with China so we could see the differences. They both share the same type of governments with completely different levels of oppression. None communist, none the type of government they claim they are.

Welcome, welcome! I love the names of your doggies. My first pet mouse was named Socrates.

Also, I would love to discuss communism with you, as I laugh at people who thinks capitialism actually exusts in the U.S.
