Could God really exist?

I have become a christian.  I had my doubts like many in here becauser there was just a lack of evidence to prover the existance of God.  On the other hand there is certainly no evidence that God doesn't exist either.  I had an expeirence that was truley unexplainable and it opened my eyes to a whole new world.  I had been to church before, but my life changing experience wasn't in a church.  I had a serious ligament issue where there was no hope but surgery in my jaw.  I had gotten opionions from doctors and orthodontist about my problem and all told me that surgery was the only solution.  Long story short there was a woman that put her hands on me and said a prayer over me and my jaw was healed instanly.  Medically speaking it was completely impossible.  At the time I was surely skeptical about the existence of God, but after this profound miracle I had to question my entire belief system.  After that day I made some changes in my life and many unexplainable things began happening to me, but the problem is I have no evidence that I can share with others.  I have come to learn that God loves all people even the most rotten ones.  Churches are full of hypocrites, but God is full of love to all that will come to him.

I was a Christian, I was very devout and attended church every Sunday (well 99% of the Sundays, I didn't go when I was sick). When I got shot in the shoulder several religious leaders and people all told me I need to go to a hospital because they couldn't do anything about it. Something about a bullet still being in there and a bullet hole in my shoulder was something that apparently god could not fix no matter how many people prayed for me. Long story short, the doctors in the hospital using medicine and medical techniques took the bullet out and sewed up my arm in a matter of hours. I do have evidence I can share with others that man was more effective than this god people had been praying to.
Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

Did you go back to the doctor after your jaw healed?

I don't fully understand why or how this happen to me and I have no proof whatso ever.  But what I have learned is most people in church are very far from the true and living God.  I don't feel like it was God that couldn't do the healing, but it was more than likely the hypocrytical christains with no faith that could actually draw the power of God from Heaven.  Nothing wrong with using your brain to go to the doctor as well.  Medical science is an amazing thing.  I tried to go to the doctors and they told me there was nothing they could do so I believe this miracle was in my life for a purpose.  And to the other post there was no need to go to the doctor because I never had a problem with my jaw even to this very day.

I suspect a troll!

You first stated that "surgery was the only solution" after visiting the orthodontist and doctor, you then later say "I tried to go to the doctors and they told me there was nothing they could do". hmmmmm.

The statement "I never had a problem with my jaw even to this very day." reads like you never had a problem at all.

Yeah, I don't want to discount your expeiriance if by some unfathomable reason it could be true. But without going back to the doctor after your so called healing to get the opinion of a medical professional on how healed it was. I can not agree that this actually happened.

Why hasn't God ever made people's limbs grow back? My Granddad's toes never grew back.

Lol I find it kinda funny that he had two of his toes cut off (through surgery I might add, not some awfully painful accident). It's just a funny part of the body to have removed! Man I miss him.. and his toes.

What I find amusing, is that the human body has extra parts that aren't even needed. Apendix, tonsils, pinky toes. I mean women get their pinky toes cut off just to fit into narrower shoes. CRAZY!!!!!!!

That's what bugs me about you humans, everything has to be about you.
The truth is god is a lizard and he regrows the limbs of loyal followers all the time.

The doctor and orthodontist both told me there was no hope outside of surgery, just like I said.  Yes you are right there is no proof what so ever of what happen to me, but even if I went back to the doctor what would it prove.  The reason I went to the doctor in the first place was because the pain was completely unbearable.  After it was gone I did see any more reason to give them more money to tell me I felt fine.  I am not asking anyone to do anything.  I am just sharing my experience with others.  I was a young man and after this moment my life changed forever.  I wish I did have proof, but would anyone believe any ways.

Well, for me at least, I would be more willing to note it as an unexplainable healing process had you had it documented. First that general medicine could do nothing for you, then after being healed by unothodx methods that there wasn't possibly something still wrong but that your body got used to it. For one what exactly was wrong with your jaw? Infection, lock jaw, that little nerve in your chin got stuck in the bone? Depending on what was wrong there is the possibility that your body healed itself naturally. Now there is reports of cellular repair that was not helped by medicine. Usually because antibodies caused stem cells to correct the issue. Again I am NOT trying to disprove your expeiriance but using the scientific method to rule out any and all natural causes before jumping directly to the super or supra natural.

If I could explain or know how this experienced happened to me I would share it with others.  If I knew how I got healed I would share it with every single amputee I ever run in too.  I in no way shape or form deserved this above anyone else, but I was never the same after it.

I suffered from severe TMJ due to my jaw getting dislocated.  I was an athlete at the time and was really handicapped by my disability.  I had it for nearly 3 months and it continued to just get progressively worse.  I did not have any money for the surgery so I really didn't know what to do, but something truly unexplainable happened to me.

Considering that I've seen people online claim that their limb was regrown through spiritual healing I don't believe any healing stories that aren't published in a reputable medical journal.  Not to mention that I don't know anything about TMJ and how possible it is for it to quit hurting suddenly (perhaps due to a rush of feel good emotions the patient experiences when having a religious experience ;) ).
