I find this article at the Daily Mail rather insulting.

It's the captions under the pictures that I find so offensive. Not to mention in one, a man has a nice buck he just shot in the bed of his truck. Good hunters typically don't want for food...

And "man guzzles beer." Captions aside, the pictures are really good.  :)

QuotePhotographer Steven Rubin spent much of the 1980s traveling throughout Maine's countryside with nothing more than a camera and a bit of cash.

This month, a Los Angeles gallery will display an extensive collection of images from that time period, painting a portrait of American poverty that many have never seen.

If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

I don't get it.  Which captions were offensive?  I saw "Man sips a beer" but not "Man guzzles beer."  He does, in fact, have a beer in his hand.  So?

Recusant

According to the time stamps below the title of the Daily Mail article, it was "updated" the same day as ThinkAnarchy posted about it. In his defense, I also read "guzzle" in one of the captions, which seems to have been toned down. The Daily Mail is infamous for being a purveyor of various flavors of atrocious tripe. A couple of its epithets are "Daily Heil" and "Daily Fail." I've noticed that the Fox News online version has been linking to more Daily Mail online articles of late.
"Religion is fundamentally opposed to everything I hold in veneration — courage, clear thinking, honesty, fairness, and above all, love of the truth."
— H. L. Mencken

Yeah they did change that first caption. The others weren't memorable enough to tell. I guess they received emails from people.
