congrats OG. It's good to see wit doesn't diminish with age, you've made me laugh plenty with your posts. Enjoy the spoon!

Now this really brings a lump to my throat - seriously.  Everybody's been very kind, plus Pudding's done me a beautiful spoon which I won't drop.

This pleasant forum has become even more comradely and even funnier in recent months.  I love it.

This may be my last serious post for some time.

You know what they say, the first 1000 years are the hardest.
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

OldGit

Quite right, DJ!  But I was a bit embarassed at posting something serious, and didn't want people to think I was going to make a habit of it.  ;)

I thought it was a fishing line, so you could catch your dinner and eat it right away.

Serious or silly, as long as you keep posting.
