Yikes, Ali! Why the heck couldn't you board? Grrr...

Aside from my silly 'become a Muslim' trick here on HAF, I seriously freaked out my daughter's dad. I called him at 3 am on April Fool's day to tell him I couldn't sleep, I'd been up reading a lot of the old religious books I have still kicking around, and I'd decided that I'd lived in sin for too long and I was no longer going to date women and was instead going to start going to church at the Baptist church down the road, and that I was going to start taking our daughter with me.

His response was somewhere along the lines of a very sleepy but alarmed "HOLY FUCKING HELL YOU'RE NOT... oh, damnit... what day is it..."

Followed by me laughing hysterically.  ;D

Thankfully after his heart stopped racing, he forgave me. He's awesome, LOL.

I felt like I fell victim to an (extremely mean) prank.  The airline changed our direct flight out of Atlanta to a later flight with a connection through Charlotte, and then even though the city we were in was actually closer to Charlotte, they wouldn't let us just board in Charlotte.  We had to drive 3 hours to Atlanta (would have been an hour and a half to Charlotte) to fly out of Atlanta bank to Charlotte, 3 hours later than we planned.   >:(  Am sending a strongly worded note.
How very British of you!  ;D
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.
"Religion is a culture of faith; science is a culture of doubt." ― Richard P. Feynman
'It is said that your life flashes before your eyes just before you die. That is true, it's called Life.' - Terry Pratchett
Remember, your inability to grasp science is not a valid argument against it.
