Yikes, Ali! Why the heck couldn't you board? Grrr...

Aside from my silly 'become a Muslim' trick here on HAF, I seriously freaked out my daughter's dad. I called him at 3 am on April Fool's day to tell him I couldn't sleep, I'd been up reading a lot of the old religious books I have still kicking around, and I'd decided that I'd lived in sin for too long and I was no longer going to date women and was instead going to start going to church at the Baptist church down the road, and that I was going to start taking our daughter with me.

His response was somewhere along the lines of a very sleepy but alarmed "HOLY FUCKING HELL YOU'RE NOT... oh, damnit... what day is it..."

Followed by me laughing hysterically. 

Thankfully after his heart stopped racing, he forgave me. He's awesome, LOL.

I felt like I fell victim to an (extremely mean) prank.  The airline changed our direct flight out of Atlanta to a later flight with a connection through Charlotte, and then even though the city we were in was actually closer to Charlotte, they wouldn't let us just board in Charlotte.  We had to drive 3 hours to Atlanta (would have been an hour and a half to Charlotte) to fly out of Atlanta bank to Charlotte, 3 hours later than we planned.     Am sending a strongly worded note.
