Iamnotamormon

So, this is a little awkward but I might as well be honest. I am looking for interaction with other atheists. I wanted to do something, kind of similar to the concept behind "happy atheist" forum, in that I wanted to discuss atheism with a specific... Emotional theme? I'm not sure how to explain it. Basically, I wanted to present ideas that challenged religious belief, but in a calm, humorous, and rational way. So, during a long discussion with a few of my five Facebook friends who were capable of understanding some of my tongue-in-cheek quandaries with religion (which shocked me, I was happy to interact with just one who would understand, let alone five)... Anyways, I stumbled upon a hilarious idea (well, I thought it was) and decided to act on it... Totally low budget, but I am doing what I can. I want to have better interaction though, input, ideas, I don't even know yet, I'm winging it right now... I don't want the idea to suffocate and die in existenial isolation so, basicallly, I'm being pathetic and asking for your help. I dont want to really jump in here and spam , I'm aware of the billions of people or so who may try to do that, I just wanted to execute and carry out this idea I had... And obviously, if you've joined a place like "happy atheist" you may understand what I mean... Atheists don't have to be angry to have a point, you know? Reason needs to be carried forward with a better emotion. Anyways, would anyone be interested in knowing more about the videos I have made? Basically, I don't explicitly call it an atheist video series. The label "Atheist" would be kind of a random labeling if it weren't for the theistic society we live in...so, I just a humorous non-sequitur and I am emphasizing the fact "I am not a Mormon" (a response to the "I am a Mormon" campaigns) and then using that platform to discuss atheism in a humorous manner.

Hell Dan
For a moment I thought it said you were a Mormon but alas no.
Shame, I would have liked you to explain the underpants thing.
There are other questions too, like statistically how likely is it that you'll be drugged, chained to a bed and used as a sex slave?  I'm considering becoming a part time Mormon but I'm not sure if it would be worth my time.

Links to videos would best be left until you've been around a while and shown yourself to be someone interesting.

Hi Dan

Personally I'd like you to make your 10 posts before linking to any videos you have made so we can get to know you a bit before diving in. But from the sound of it you'll like this place so it shouldn't be too onerous a task.

Is there any particular reason you singled out Mormonism for your user name?

Thanks for making the effort to sign up and join in.

Welcome to HAF.

Regards
Chris

Melmoth

Welcome, Dan! I am also called Dan. Awful isn't it. My mother was going to name me 'Hannibal' but the rest of my family stopped her. >:( I shall never forgive them.

Round my neck of the woods, inevitably.

If they meant 'no' they wouldn't go around knocking on strangers' doors, all done up nice in those purdy suits.

Change your name. If nothing else, out of pure spite.  >:(

Dan isn't bad though... But Hannibal is just so much... Better.

The IPs don't match. But  the style is very similar!

I got a bit confused there for a moment, I thought I was in the Plasticman welcome thread.
You need to reclaim your thread Iamnotamormon, put this brash plastic in its place.  :)
