Crow's Jim Jeffries link inspired me.  I love stand up comedy.  So who are your favorite comedians?  Links, please!

Louis CK is my favorite comedian.

I like Bill Maher and Aries Spears. Those are the only ones I can think of right now.

The Magic Pudding

The Pythons, Peter Sellers, Spike Milligan, Dylan Moran, Bill Bailey, Tim Minchin, Rich Hall, Jennifer Saunders, Robin Williams & Jim Carey sometimes, Billy Connely, Ricky Gervais, John Clarke.  Simon Pegg unless he's classed as a comic actor which is probably another list.

Jeff McEnery: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vFoBGtlVFBQ (this one's called 'Worst Jobs Ever', it's awesome, as are his other skits!)

Jeff Dunham: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1uwOL4rB-go (ventriloquist with several awesome characters, including the one I linked to, Achmed the Dead Terrorist)

John Pinette: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EtzFgtd1C5c (this one's called 'Water Parks' from his hilarious series 'I'm Starvin'!' Also check out any of his other stuff, particularly the time he was in France and went to Italy for dinner, LOL)

Julia Sweeney: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Ysxz5Ug70G0 (this one's called 'The Talk', which she has to have with her daughter on the facts of life... but I love all of this woman's stuff. Skeptic, smart as hell, and just hilarious.)

Stand ups? uummmm...

Kathy Griffin and Ron White are two that first come to mind.
The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

No mention of George Carlin so far. He could be profound and profane at the same time--a master.

I also like Bob Newharts's early work, as well as that of Jonathan Winters. More modern; Lewis Black. I also enjoy Eddie Izzard, and in a related vein, Dame Edna.

George Carlin, Bill Maher, Lewis Black. Laughed my ass off at Jeff Dunham the other day. But top of the list is Robin Williams!

Robin Williams can be shockingly filthy.  I always associate him with family movies, but one time I was at my parents house and we started watching his stand up.  Watching that sitting next to my dad was super uncomfortable.  I'm all "oral sex?  What's that?"  LOL

Hmmm......23 maybe?  An adult, but still young enough that I didn't want to laugh knowingly about sex jokes in front of my dad.   :D
