As my name suggests, I'm a member of the US military; specifically, Air Force. I'm currently located in Afghanistan... but I have a nice cushy desk job that allows me free time to browse sites such as this one. I'm a shining example of your tax dollars hard at work, ladies and gentlemen

My brother was in the USAF too (the rest of the family is Navy, he just had to be different) and he had some interesting problems there as well, tho his were more related to choices of recreation.

Welcome to the forum.  I think there's very few people here you'll offend, we're all pretty used to give-and-take.

I know atheists aren't permitted in foxholes but I'm not sure of the ruling in regard to freethinkers.
I've never felt the exclusion to be onerous though.

Welcome aboard!  Hair Force eh?  Just kidding.  I was Navy before my career was cut short by an allergic reaction to the anthrax vaccine.  Of all things, taken down by a needle and syringe.  But the folks with the AF were kind enough to let me use one of their Neurologists for my post discharge follow ups
