Buildings, I've been thinking a building thread would be good and we have a new member from Istanbul.
The time for the building thread has arrived.
Rules? none really, some explanation would be nice though.
You can have more than one, no extra charge.

Yes the good old coathanger.
The view from it is stunning the view of it from the water below is too.
You can hang fireworks on it.
It's bigness gets in your head when you're little and it never leaves.

I have always been fascinated by the Sears Tower. Even been up it a few times. Each time just leaves me speechless  ;D

This is part of the Huntington Library in San Marino, CA -- if I'm remembering right, the entrance:

I can't tell if it is as good as your library, the pic is a bit small.

I fiddled with it a bit, it should be larger now.

You said "anger or annoy," so I almost posted here what I have instead opted to post in the politics forum.  See my new thread there.

I'll add a different set of pix via the edit function in a sec.

Deerhurst church, Gloucestershire.  The west wall in the centre of the photo is pretty much as it was when it was built in the 8th century (we know it was there in 804).  The arches of the side walls are modern - they date from around 1300.

Nope, I never did hold with this new-fangled Decorated style.  It's Romanesque or nothing for me.  :)
