Johnny Depp has come under fire from religious activists for a new Christmas-themed track they've branded "filth."

The Pirates of the Caribbean star teamed up with British rockers Babybird to record The Jesus Stag Night Club, which tells a story of a boozing Christ-like figure in a strip club.

Depp played Sparrow, who was a pirate, the guy in Tourist, who was... Can't remember, but generally not very nice, Mad Hatter in Alice and... Has Depp ever played a good christian?

...Or why do they feel they have the right to object? Beause I'm pretty sure that if it wasn't for Depp, this song would have gone largely unnoticed and unprotested.

It's not like he was spreading good will of the lord into the hearts of their kiddies as it was...

So true. But I guess it's because they feel that they can control what their kids think when he's just playing his character. But when he himself is supporting something, that's a whole other story. What do they say then? That he's a bad man that they shouldn't like? My mother told me that about Jack the Ripper and Ted Bundy, and now I have posters and books and ever written songs about them. Kids have the unexplainable need to do the opposite of what their told to do. But if they condone it, the kids will feel that it's perfectly fine, and that could spark the seeds of rebellion. making fun of Jesus in their home, doubting his existence, than next thing you know, their atheist and the parents are spiraling into a depression wondering what they did wrong.
