Hello! I have been lurking around this forum for about a week now and I finally decided to join. I'm fifteen and I currently live in northern Indiana. I moved here from Malmö, Sweden four years ago. I'm really excited to start meeting other people who think like me, because in a tiny town of 25,000, there are a lot of fundies XD.

Welcome!

That's odd ??? Sweden isn't exactly known for religiousity. Why the concentration of fundies? Any reason in particular?

Edited to add: wy did you move to Indiana? Since I also moved around while growing up I'm curious to hear other people's stories on similar situations.

Hi Bud,
Welcome! Sweden -->Northern Indiana. That's a big change. I remember I moved when I was 16 but only from one part of my city to another and that was pretty traumatic. How are you holding up? Not too stressful, I hope.

Hello Bud

Welcome to HAF, I hope we can be your substitute Sweden. It must have been one 'hell' of a shock arriving in Indiana!

Regards
Chris

Why on Earth would you move from an overall nice country to (No offence, residents) the USA?!  :o

Bud probably didn't have a choice, I'll bet it was a family move.

I agree with you, and I am a resident.  ;)

Redefine "you" to plural, as in "your family" then  :P

My mom got a new job, so we moved here. It doesn't seem too bad so far. Although I did have somebody ask what part of the country Sweden was in.  ::) We still go back in the summer to see family, so it isn't so bad. It is fun to get into debates with some of the other people in my class.

Well, it's a good thing that you are not too miserable...

But I was under the impression that higher-paying jobs were exactly why Swedes invented Norway. just as we invented Sweden for cheaper smokes and drinks and cheese. Must not forget the cheese.

All this confusion is clarified by a careful study of Erik Skjoldbjærg's Insomnia. It's Swedish cops in Norway (or is it Norwegian cops in Sweden?) Stay far away from the American version with Al Pacino. It's crap. But not as bad as the American version of Forbrydelsen. Sorry BudH (they say some naughty things about Sweden in it if I remember correctly).

I told them it was in Canada. The sad thing is, they were a junior in high school.

My mom is also a divorcee and she met this really awesome guy, so that was a factor too. Meh, I'm not big on cheese, but I do like Norwegian chocolate and Finnish salamakki.
