I had to share this link with you.

http://scotteriology.wordpress.com/2011/09/10/stupidest-jesus-picture-ever-you-decide/

The website makes light of these images and invites you to decide which image is more stupid. Stupidity is not the issue here - these are downright dangerous. I have to say I'm truly revolted by these grotesque perversions.

How can American society have so wholeheartedly lost sight of the very premise of the Constitution they hold so dear? A Constitution which specifically laid down a secular foundation.

Genocide, anyone?

Numbers two and three are quite telling. The Christ figure was anything but a capitalist.
The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

While I find the theme of it kinda' sad... The painting itself is rather nice. (That would be the constitution painting. The second one is terrible on every level imaginable.)

Is Santa a midget? Apart from the disturbing political aspects of the first pic, I do find them both quite amusing. This is my favourite picture of Jesus mind, I did chuckle when I read about some local Oklahoma parishioners being unhappy about it being the icon behind their altar. Brings a whole new turn on the idea of the wood of the true cross...

They disabled the right click, so I took their images. I only wanted to look at the zoomed image to get a better look at the artwork and detail, but because of that, I was compelled to do what they wanted to prevent me from doing.
Always question all authorities because the authority you don't question is the most dangerous... except me, never question me.

I consider both to be fatuous, kitschy dreck, but the McNaughton is pretentious as well, so gets my vote as being worse.

The crazies have been trying to highjack the Constitution and Bill of Rights for years -- makes me think of that Sinclair Lewis quote that when the fascists come to America they will be wrapped in the flag and carrying a cross.

Well, there would have been quite a lot of people to see it had he really lived and been crucified... They did tend to crucify people naked, you know...

So, since no-one seems to have mentioned Jesus NOT having a penis, it's not such a long shot to assume that he did. Otherwise, someone might have thrown a line in the bible about hearing from someone who heard from someone that the son of god was, in fact, dickless.  8)
