Lecter

Hello everyone!

I got invited by Medusa to join this forum, so if I cause any problems you can always blame her! Just joking. I'm not atheist myself (I'm Muslim), so I hope that's OK with you guys. I'm already used to being in a forum that's dedicated to one religion while I follow another. I don't really bug others about their religion or really talk about it, unless it's in the correct section and so on. I'm thinking it's like if I walked into a church I wouldn't bug people there about their religion every second, however if I'm outside and someone wants to talk then it's OK.

Let's see a, a little about myself.

I'm 27 years old and I'm from Egypt. So English isn't my first language, so please excuse me if I make a mistake here and there. I like football (That's soccer for Americans), Batman and Hannibal Lecter.

Anyways, I guess that's all for now. It's nice meeting you all :)

Welcome, Lecter. Your English is excellent, and we don't take points off for spelling or grammar, unless it's a native speaker bragging about how they never mess up. Then we crucify them!  ;D

Thanks for the background and introduction. Very nice to have you here. Thanks to Medusa for inviting you, as well.

Enjoy!

Your English is really good by the way.

Hello Lecter

As I suggested to Medusa that she invite you to join I'm delighted your here. If you had not mentioned that English was not your first language I would havenot of known as it is perfectly acceptable.

Welcome to HAF  :)

Welcome, Lecter!

If a Muslim is willing to join in here in a spirit of friendly debate, he's just as welcome as an atheist.  After all, we've got to have someone to argue with.  ;D

As a professional linguist, I am always humbled by the high standard of English shown by people like you on the forums.

Lecter

Wow! Thanks guys for all the warm welcome!

It feels really nice being here. Too bad I'm going to have to kill you all when we take over because you are not Muslim. :p

No, but really, can't wait to get to know you all better and have great and interesting discussions with you.

Hello Lecter

The best conversation between theists and atheists is generally when we try to understand and listen to each other. When one of us tries to convert the other it only ends up in frustration.

Welcome aboard,
Medusa tells us you are a smart cookie, with a keen interest in science. i'm quite keen to hear your perspecitve on things.

Oops, you are on to me!

Stevil, don't worry, I'm used to talking to people of a different religion than mine on the internet. Actually, I'm a regular member at a Pagan forum and I've even become a moderator there!

Don't believe everything Medusa says about me, she's biased! But I look forward to having interesting conversations with you as well. :)
