It could what you eat now, or what you remember eating as a kid.

I remember being a big fan of Count Chocula! I also like Life, Kix, honey nuy cheerios, and I used to live off waffle crisp or french toast crunch xD

My tastes differ greatly as a healthy adult, but Count Chocula was awesome. XP

I'm one of those odd people that actually like Musli. But since I have been diabetic I have been horrified to see how much sugar even normal cerials have. Very few are under 25%! Some are over 35%!! So now its wheatabix or shredded wheat.

I like Kashi because it tastes good and pretty healthy as far as cereals are concerned.  They even have a variety that has zero salt.  I get Kashi Go Lean Crunch since that is what Sam's Club carries (so I can buy in a double pack to save on costs).

As a kids my favorite was fruity and chocolate pebbles...I don't like the fruit kind anymore but the chocolate kind I still like.  I wouldn't consider either of them a meal food though.  Our parents at least were smart and didn't let us have it every day; we usually had oatmeal or raisin bran.

@Tank;
Yes, I am disgusted with the amount of sugar most cereals have now-a-days/in general.  Even the ones claiming to be healthy!  I rarely eat cereal anyway, but I do still enjoy some honey nut cheerios with skim milk occassionally.

In general, I always, always read the nutrient contents before buying. If it has more than 6 ingredients, and I cant pronouce any, I don't buy.

Fiber 1 stuff is ok, but not ALL their products are healthy. Some even have high frotuse corn syrup in it!  >___<

@Whitney: I do love kashi stuff!

Agreed.  I eat sugar-free muesli because I am diabetic, but it's not bad.  I can eat Shredded Wheat, too, but never Weetabix.  I'd rather eat straw.

LOL, that's a sensible plan.  ;)

Used to love Cap N Crunch and Fruity Pebbles. However, I can't take the sugar anymore. Now its Kashi with light soy milk or almond milk. Very tasty.

I would eat clusters with chocolate when I was on a diet, but now I switched back to kellog's chocos

I weep bitter tears every morning over the loss of Product 19. It was always my favorite cereal growing up. It was nutrient rich like Total, but it has a much more rich flavor for a cereal, and didn't have that vitamin aftertaste. Unfortunately, most stores stopped carrying it a few years back and now you can really only get it on the internet. As much as I like Product 19, I can't bring myself to buy cereal off Amazon.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

You can't get Fruit Loops in the UK, the additives in them are illegal.

I'm never awake early enough to eat Breakfast :)

Kiwi kids are Weet-bix kids.

Well, that's how the marketing jingle goes.

I prefer not to eat breakfast. I don't really understand the concept. I generally have the same type of food that I have for lunch. Sandwiches or toast.

Why is cereal or bacon, eggs, hash browns, cooked tomatoes considered a breakfast meal?
I really don't adhere to arbitrary rules. I don't drink coffee and I don't drink wine (beacuase I don't like the taste), if I do happen to have a wine I don't feel the need to drink it from a wine glass, I don't feel it is more refined or more appropriate to drink wine at a restaurant more so than water, tea, hot chocolate, fanta, coke, beer. They are all just different fluids with different flavours.

So to put a long story short and to get back on topic, I approach each meal the same as the next, a time to refuel, but no special or different depending on the time of day.

Most cereals have extremely high amounts of sugar, especially the 99% fat free ones.
You may as well just get a spoon for yourself and sit in front of the sugar bowl.

It's true, just like how diet soda is WORSE for you than regular soda.  I won't touch the poison.

I don't eat cereal really any more. Being a Diabetic it's one of the worst breakfasts to have. I stick to egg white scrambled with bacon! But when I do, it's plain old cheerios with splenda.

As a kid? Cap n crunch is great. But it shreds the dickens out of the roof of your mouth! Count Chocula and Booberry and Frankenberry were way up there. Along with Kix and honey comb. Oh and don't forget cookie crisps. I mean come on. It's just cookies in milk! :P
