What Sports do You Watch and Who do You Support?

Every time I have started a new job, the first question asked is what football (soccer if you must) team I support.  Which is West Bromwich Albion.  I like to see most West Midlands teams do well, though at times, I struggle to stretch that to Wolves.

In the SPL, I look out for Inverness CT, which is the closest team to where my mother is from, though most of my Scottish relies support either Rangers or Celtic.

F1: McLaren at the moment, due to having two British drivers.  But I'd like to see Williams competitive again, and hopefully their re-union with Renault engines might be a good sign.

Cricket: Either Worcestershire or Warwickshire, no preference, most the cricket I watch is 5 day test matches.

Rugby Union, I tend to keep an eye on how Gloucester or Leicester is doing.  Apart from that, Dudley-Kingswinford.

Rugby League, I will watch England, but don't have a prefered club.

NFL: Pittsburgh Steelers.  Nothing to do with bandwagons, my wife has relies in West Virginia.

Yep. McLaren and Williams. My lad spent 6 weeks working at McLaren in 2007 in his second year at Imperial College. He redesigned part of the rear suspension. The geometry wasn't changed but he had to use 3D titanium pattern creation to reduce the weight. He also won a trip to Williams when he was 16, he got to take somebody with him, it was great to see 'Red 5' in the flesh :D

I like team Ford in rally.

Other than that, I do not support any one in particular in any sport. Or rather, it varies from day to day. Usually, the team with the best-looking players. You see, I'm not that into sport itself, so for me it's just the people watching.

Sand volleyball. Nice.

Yes, indeed. Quite nice.

NHL: Montreal Canadiens (even though I'm not from Montreal)
EPL: Arsenal FC

Stevil

Boxing
In particular David Tua
also
Tyson, Holyfield, Forman, Frasier, Oscar and Pacman

I was brought up in the Hadlee years, but for the most part NZ are the worst of the serious teams.

Rugby
The world cup is coming to my town this year. Go the All Blacks!

Generally I find watching people doing stuff pretty boring.
Throwing a ball around can be fun, watching some one else do so, not so much.
If there was a sport that involved the clubbing of sport commentators, that would have some appeal.

When times are tough the politicians tell us everything needs cutting back, the premier science organisation included but don't worry the sports budget is sacrosanct.  This kind of thing is annoying, give kids a park and a ball but let some one else waste their money on Olympics and elite games.

Four codes of football are followed here with religious zeal by people who never even played the games, I don't get it.

Pretty much Baseball.  Kansas City Royals fan.

I do watch professional bowling however..... just really no favorites.

I like to watch soccer, but do not follow it closely.  Love to watch volleyball, but don't follow it much either.

Curling looks like fun. It's a bit like bowls (not bowling) in terms of skill and something that most people could attempt.

Exactly.

There are some curlers who carry quite a bit more baggage around the middle than I do too. Thus, there is hope for me yet in the realm of sports  :P
