Does Driving a Porsche Make a Man More Desirable to Women?

QuoteScienceDaily (June 16, 2011) — New research by faculty at Rice University, the University of Texas-San Antonio (UTSA) and the University of Minnesota finds that men's conspicuous spending is driven by the desire to have uncommitted romantic flings. And, gentlemen, women can see right through it...

Apparently driving a flash car signals exactly what you're after, a quick shag! lol

I think a general tip for everyone is, if you are going to buy something with the sole purpose of trying to make you "more desirable", there's probably a really good chance that you're going to fail.
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

If Tank bought me a new Porsche I'd find him more desirable, at least for a while.
And no an old Volkswagen won't do, I don't care who designed it.

Same goes for trying to look "cool", the more you try the more you fail.

On another note if you want a "quick shag" as Tank put it don't waste a hundreds of thousands on a car just be open about what you want.

Although honesty sometimes leads to people getting huffy I have generally found that being up front about what one is about works best.

I don'r drive a Porsche, but if I did (which is a distinct possibility because I do like the design and driveability of Porsches), I'd drive one for personal enjoyment, not for the ladies. If I were more attractive, perhaps it would be because of the fun I was having or the confidence I had behind the wheel?

I'm partial to the 930, the turbo Porsche from the 1980s.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

Who needs a Porsche when you can get one of these fibreglass beauties equipped with a classic VW Beatle engine?

The only flaw I can see with them is they only have two seats, not enough room to fit in all your new female friends.

lol @determinedJuliet, I couldn't agree more.

I would not be attracted to someone who drove a Porsche. In fact, I would automatically assume that the driver is an asshole and if they did happen to be hot and rich I would not be interested in them for anything beyond a quick shag, although that does appear to be the goal of the Porsche-owner, so maybe it is effective.
