Curious to know what our friends in Texas think of their governor's prayer event.

Why are they not calling people to do something productive and meaningful in stead..? You can't pray a crisis out of the window. A governor should know that, no matter how big an idiot he might be.

Well... No.  :P I'm from Yurop. It's that dark, dank, foresty place from where humankind emerged during the dark ages. It's full of monarchs and heathens. A truly terrible place...  :'(

...Or so I've heard some Bible Belt American 10 or 11 year old proclaim  ;D

EDIT: Oh! And it is inhabited by these: - a particularly vicious child-eating variety of living noseless clay.

A Jesus feel good party, I can't wait. A reason for a bunch of the devout to blame the woes of the world on anything but bad decisions, and to take credit for all the good no matter how small. Religion is the perfect tool for false fulfillment.

The most upsetting thing about this, I would think, is knowing it has ties to Bryan Fischer. We need more of the media to point out his stupidity and not just MSNBC and Bill Maher, as brilliantly as he does it...

While I appreciate the intent of folks wanting to "give" prayer it is a lazy Cop out in my opinion

"Two hands working do more than a thousand clasped in prayer"

Don't remember who said it, but the dude had a point.

Our Governor here in Kansas is apparently going.  He's a real beauty, already installing his super conservative, deeply religious agenda into our state politics.  And now going to Texas for a prayer event.  Not sure what he's praying for, he's already getting all he wants from the sheeple in this state.
The school is the last expenditure upon which America should be willing to economize.

Ugh, praying... The most useless thing anyone could ever do. Might as well put on funny hats and stand on one leg. It's super effective!  ::)

Homer:"No! Faith is what you have in things that don't exist. Your awesomeness is real."

Rick Perry (and I know I am slow to get here....but really I have been on a news black out periodically lately due to overload!)anyway he scares me....so does this event!

I am normally not paranoid and look forward to elections! NOTthis one!

I do not like the idea of this rally..or the numbers of people who support it and think it is wonderful!

Yikes this is real!

I'm just glad to know that when Perry and company were enjoying a day of fasting and praying I was enjoying a day of beer and pizza.  ;D

I believe I had the more enjoyable experience...
