The show "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" has been getting a ton of online attention recently, mostly from adult males. :o

Unlike past incarnations of the My Little Pony cartoons, "Friendship is Magic" is an actual attempt by competent writers and animators to produce a quality show, rather simply half-hour advertisements for the toys.

Quote from: Lauren Faust (Executive producer of the first season)My goal was to make a show that parents could watch with their daughters without wanting to shoot themselves in the head. It has always been our intention to provide stories that would be entertaining for adults as well as kids (the concept of "all ages" entertainment needs to be resurrected outside of Pixar!!) So extremely excited to see that we are successful.

For those interested, here, this kind of video is the gateway drug (especially if you like Weird Al):

For those not interested, feel free to laugh at us weirdos.

Oh, and I suppose I ought to link to the actual show, as well...it can be found here.
QuoteFrom the mind of Lauren Faust comes a new MLP series that doesn't make adults want to blind and deafen themselves with rusty spikes. That doesn't explain exactly why I *like* it, though. Maybe it's that I'm a sucker for vector animation and a double-sucker for consistent, deep worldbuilding. But I can't rule out subliminal messages either.

Yes. The off switch on the remote control.
If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

Yes. The off switch on the remote control.

You have the remote control for the internet?
What does it look like?
That sounds like something modern day keniggits would devote their life to finding.

It's like Indiana Jones, the vessel of great power is of a plain utilitarian appearance.

So that's what this is about.

Why isn't looking up justin beiber, or rebbeca black on youtube part of this graph. Actaully if anyone is looking these up I would hope parents would walk in on you because you might be dead from internal bleeding after.

I sent a link to the my little pony shows for my sister to watch with her baby; nothing can be worse than seeing micky mouse club house for the zillionth time.

Ugh, I hate all the new Disney crap. I've had to watch it a few times with my niece. Apparently I'm a bad influence because I mention everything that doesn't make any sense.

There was plenty of good stuff on TV when my daughters were young, better that some of the stuff they watch now.

Not really.
It's more I enjoy TV for youngens more than stuff made for adolescents.
Bananas in Pyjamas I think are superior to Miley Cyrus.
It's not nostalgia because Bananas in Pyjamas will live forever.
They've got a better theme tune too, and a rat you can trust 'cause he's a rat.
