I'm thinking about love. I have found mine. I've never been so convinced of anything in my life. I have found the woman I really want to be with forever.
It's kind of funny because I've spent a little time looking at past posts I've made on here and I found one from January of last year that showed me just how unhappy I've been. Until a few months ago, I had been single for almost 3 years while trying to focus on me and what I want. I had even actively tried not to find someone until I really felt it was right. I even turned down quite a few advances purely because I knew I wasn't ready to be with someone again and that it wasn't right.
Then I found my true love. And here it is, a few months later, and I'm in a different town waiting for her to move up here with me. I'm working and living with one of my best friends, and yet I feel so alone. I've felt like I've died a little inside every time I've had to leave her where in the past, I was looking for reasons to get away from girlfriends I've had so I could have some "me time". These days, I don't want me time. I want all her, all the time. I've never felt so loved and yet so lonely at the same time.

And yet, I wouldn't trade this feeling for all the money in the world.
How is it that I believe I've met my soulmate when I don't believe in the soul?
Prayers that need no answer now, cause I'm tired of who I am
You were my greatest mistake, I fell in love with your sin
Your littlest sin.

What sort of dog do you have? I have two at the moment

Katie

Sally

We have had them for just over a month now and they seem to be settling in well. We got them both from a rescue centre. They had not been abused their owner had got divorced and needed to get a job, as a result she could not keep them. We went to get one dog, our previous dog Rusty having been run over on the 18th April. When we got there we asked to see Katie but were told that they hadn't been separated yet so could we come back in a few days after they had done a trial separation. I just said bring them both in to have a look at and this is what they did. When the dogs came in Sally ran straight to my wife, jumped on her lap and licked her face, game over! We took them both  :D

the 101 and PCH separate south of San Fran.  If you have the time, take the PCH.  Between Half-Moon Bay and San Simeon, it's gorgeous, but plan for one day between the two points; it's breathtaking, and curvy, like a good gal.

I live right off the 101 in Ventura, and can vouch for the local attractions: a charming downtown loaded with good, affordable restaurants; great beaches; and friendly people.

Avoid Santa Barbara.  It's overpriced, over-hyped, and over-stuffed with snobs.

Thanks!  For non-natives, my parents were typical Washingtonians in that they had a terrible opinion of California (are Californians aware of this phenomenon?  Is it stupid to ask you that since you're more of a Texan?  :D) and so we never went there when I was a kid.  I've always wanted to go though, but I have no idea where to check out and where to avoid.  I like thrift store/greasy spoon/public art kind of places a lot more than expensive touristy spots for sure.

My hope for you is that in ten years, you can still find that feeling inside you.  I can tell you that this phase doesn't last forever, no matter how convinced you are right now, you will eventually enter an even deeper love for her, but the trick is to keep it lively.  My wife is my best friend, my lover, my sounding board, my level when I need something to level me out, and my biggest fan.  We LOVE to be together, but realize that we need to have some time apart.  I am not a religious person, but Khalil Gibran's work, the Prophet has a great part in it on love.

Most people do, sometimes situations simply prevent it from being seen.
