Some people live for that. For all I know, there might even be something called office evolution, where meeting-loving employees thrive in certain companies. This type of people never end their meetings before the scheduled ending. If the meeting is scheduled for 2h, they always find a way to stretch the meeting to exactly 2h. :brick:

I don't know if they still do this but British Telecom used to have special meeting rooms with high tables and no chairs so you could write etc. but could not sit down. Apparently it was a great success as people didn't string meetings out and apparently 'thinking on ones feet' actually is more likely to get a good result, although I have never tried this myself.

Sounds like a very good idea, and a familiar one. In IT, and I guess mostly in software development, there are processes, that we classify as being "agile", that have standup meetings. Those daily meetings are supposed to be like the meetings you described above and to last only 5-10 minutes just to talk about daily tasks. But of course, I've come across people having hour-long standup meetings in traditional meeting rooms on comfy chairs etc. :D

There's not enough hours in the day. I have insomnia, and my pills decided they didn't feel like working until 3AM. I woke up at 2PM, and by that time, everybody was already out somewhere. I suppose I'll just continue being a basement dweller.

The last time I saw "cloudy with rain" was about half a year ago. I would find that type of weather the opposite of depressing right now. It was over 40 degrees yesterday.

Cape Town. Why did you pick Jo'burg or Cape Town? I could have been from Polokwane :P .I've just moved from Grahamstown where the weather skipped through all four seasons each day, so the constant heat in Cape Town is exhausting and unrelenting.
