if there were no need for 'engineers from the quantum plenum' then we should not have any unanswered scientific questions.

In the fridge, there was a jar with two bread and butter pickles left.  Now there are 0 bread and butter pickles, and I want more.  The grocery is open 24/7, but that would require me getting up and going out to my car.  Bah.  This is why I need to start actually eating meals instead of grazing through the day.

Over the summer, I've noticed that my appetite has decreased significantly...and I find myself eating like ONE meal a day. I am not sure if this is due to me thinking about things all the time, or my consumption of alcohol almost every night. Perhaps it's the latter.

Oh yeah...time. Time was on my mind as well. lol

I'm glad I found this forum.  With a name like happy atheist forum, I'm bound to meet happy atheist!!!  I'm usually a lurker, but will try to sort through the topics of interest to post on.  Kinda tired now, might have to be tomorrow.  zZzZzzzZz

I wish we lived in a world where most of its problems were behind us, like ummm, religion!  Signing off, over and out.

I think one of the under-appreciated things in life is a phlebotomist that can comfort those that are nervous around needles and make the entire situation relatively painless.

It's an irrational "fear" of mine. It has nothing to do with the small pinch associated with the needle, but the sight of the needle puncturing the skin that gives me the willies. Even on TV or movies, I can't watch that.  :hail:

When I have a protein-rich breakfast (two fried eggs, usually) first thing in the morning, I can get away with barely eating anything the rest of the day without losing steam (on 'good' days). Maybe that would work for you too. It sure beats caffeine crash.

I know exactly what you mean. I have a sort of fear of getting blood drawn mainly because I apparently have "crappy veins" (one of the less than stellar phlebotomists I had told me that :P) which has for my parents and me resulted in some painful situations where they jab us at least five times before they find what they need. Last time I got insanely lucky and got the nicest woman I could have possibly imagined (while my poor mom got an arrogant jerk who might as well have stabbed her with a knife to take a sample).

Learn from my mistakes.  Don't promise two of your friends you will go to the Trader Joe's up North with them on Saturday, and then drink 5 bottles of wine with your other friends on Friday night.  :verysad:
