...but driving in a nasty Winter storm. At least it's pretty.

Still snowing!!! Hooray. Like 6-8" on the ground still, snow packed roads = fun cornering.

I have the weekend off. Wanted to get some friends to tow my old hood around in a empty parking lot (behind my truck as a sled) but they are all outta town. What a surprise.

Maybe I will ride my bike around tomorrow solely to freeze my ass off.

Oh and I got my UZ block bellhousing. It adapts my tacoma A340E tranny to my 1uz-fe V8. Gigidy-giggidy...heh
Me, my projects and random pictures, haha.

I miss snow.  Yeah, I know - it sucks when you're an adult.  I lived in Iowa until I was 12, so I have happy memories of snow.

Speaking of snow, did anyone watch the outdoor hockey game in Buffalo (Sabres vs. Penguins) on New Year's?  I thought it was silly - why play hockey outside, especially when its snowing?  But, it was still amazing to watch the skill of the players adjust to the situation - by the third period they were making all their long passes in the air - the puck was just bleeding off speed on the snow-covered ice.

I spent the weekend at the AZ Renaissance Festival.  Lot's of drunken pirates out there.  I had a blast, but my back is killing me today.   I guess it's a fair price to pay.

Drunken pirates!? Awesome! And why, pray tell, was your back hurting? Were you doing Joust against the Black Knight?

So... what's on my mind today...

...going home. I'm at work right now and there's not much to do since I'm ultra-efficient on my duties.

That is a great Renaissance Festival. One of the best in the country. Did you manage to catch Don Juan and Miguel's show? Always a good one.

(I was a pirate my last year in the cast of the PA RenFaire). Great fun.

Sadly, jaymayo, I wasn't hurting from the joust...just from walking around in a bodice all weekend.  And thanks so much for the pirate encyclopedia graphic....

No, McQ, I haven't seen them yet this year, but I have seen them.  That little guy sure is funny!  There are five weekends left this season, so I should be going back for more some time soon.  Yup, I'm a crazy Rennie!   :D

I am stoked. This is a adapter plate I drew up and a machine shop with a water jet cutter cut it for me.

Bad-ass...

Adapts any Lexus/Toyota UZ series V8 engine and bellhousing to a Toyota W-series transmission. This is for a 1UZ and a W58 going in my Celica!

Sweet pics tacoma_kyle - I'm not much of a mechanic/machinist at all, but the engineering aspect of it appeals to me strongly.  Looks like fun!

Good job, Kyle. You're a man with skills! I continue to be impressed. Are you going to post pics on the installation?

We're going to take our girls to their first Renaissance the weekend after next. Next weekend is the zoo :)
