I agree, and I am trying to. I am still however a little anxious about starting school again especially since I don't know anybody there. I am awful at making new friends.
Many people are anxious when starting out at college. I remember my son was not happy when he went 200 miles away to London where he didn't know a single person and 75% of the intake came from private paying schools where money was no object and he had to live on a student loan and a lot less than the others. Just remember there are loads of other people in the same boat as you (knowing nobody and shy because of it) just put yourself into places where there are other people around and don't forget, the first step to a conversation is a smile, either giving one or accepting one!

Quote from: "GAYtheist"I read all your posts, and I do see what you're saying, and all I'll say is this. You've read in other posts about my past experiences, and a punch or two in the face is nothing to those. As much as I hate courtrooms, I also dislike the thought of jail, or rather, sending anyone to jail, because of the things that go on there. It's difficult to explain, but I would prefer anything that goes on in jail not be on my head. Were it something more serious then, by all means, I would have a phone in my hand and the police on the other end, but it was a couple of punches and, while they were good punches, I've dealt with worse in high school.

A fair reply, and I'm sorry if I came across as pushy.

Just watching the qualifying for the German Grand Prix. Martin Brundle, ex-F1 driver and now BBC commentator came up with this gem when watching the performance of Vettel in the Red Bull:

'That car is sticking to the track like a gecko wading through super glue!'

That has just got to become a quotable quote!

Is that a good thing?

Apparently so from the context of the remark, the car was going around a corner very quickly at the time. Although if taken more literally it could mean the car was stationary and stuck to the track.

I'm finally getting my green card. It should arrive in 3 weeks. I will no longer be a lawful non-permanent resident alien. I'll be a lawful permanent resident alien. The USCIS actually sent me a letter saying "Welcome the United Stated". Woohoo!

Peaches...................................................................................

Anyone want some peaches???????????  White flesh, tart, freestone variety at the moment.

I seem to have 2 trees full at the same time this year.  Looks like 400 pounds or so per tree, most likely more.  Trying to use all of them before they go to waste, chickens are happy, stove top is covered with varying states of peach butter, about to fill our secondary fridge with more fresh ones, thinking about pickling a few, canning a few in halves, eying the 2 dehydrators I have with a few ideas, giving away some,

Peach fuzz and fiberglass insulation have the same irritating affect on my skin.......  It's getting itchy over here.  Do you know how hard it is NOT to scratch your face while handling peaches????

I wouldn't mind some peaches...however, I have a feeling they would spoil before I'd have a chance to come get them.

Is the one leading to the other?? Do chickens like eating peaches?

That would be a resounding yes :D   When I take a bucket of them out there I have to fight off the girls just so I can dump it on the ground.  Then it's a free for all until every last bit of flesh is devoured.

Any time they see the metal pails they start prepping for treats.......

I could sleep for a week ... I'm in Texas visiting some family with my mom and nephew, I'm so frustrated that I couldn't finish my classes in time, so now I'm stuck working on them while we're staying at my aunt & uncle's house. But I finished one of the harder ones so all I have left is about 7 lessons each in 2 easy classes...

Anyway. my brother lives in Fort Worth and we're down in Houston. (They were out of town so we couldn't see them when we drove through) Tomorrow we're going to the beach and they're driving all the way down today, staying with my grandpa tonight, and driving down to meet us at the beach tomorrow. Great thing is my nephew doesn't know so he's going to be THRILLED that his dad, and baby sister with my sister in law came all the way down to see him. :) I can't wait to see his face. <3 Kind of complicated story as to why his dad lives in Texas and he lives in New Mexico with his mom but you know ... break ups and whatnot...

OH and on the way in I saw a billboard that told me Jesus Loves You so I guess the dude loves me.
