Hello all. I could not resist the suggestive title. I have been lurking on here for quite some time and am just now getting around to making a screen name. I have made a blog and would love to have you guys read some entries and let me know what you think! I am a VW mechanic so if anyone has any questions concerning that give me a shout. Here is the link to my blog. Thanks in advance to anyone who takes the time to look at it.

Hello and welcome to HAF, vdubmechanic.  I think it's pretty cool that Dr. Krauss was the one who opened the path of rational inquiry into the universe for you.  I think he's a fine speaker, and the "Universe From Nothing" talk was particularly good.

I hope you enjoy your time reading and posting here.

(Edited to correct vdubmechanic's name.  Sorry about that! )

Quote from: "JoeBobSmith"i watched some of that video...not sure what to make of it.  his mocking tone makes him sound quite arrogant and when people say things like "you're made of stardust" that should be a warning sign right there.
Hmm.  Well I didn't notice a particularly mocking or arrogant tone. Then again maybe I've spent too much of my time in real life around people who are arrogant (and mock on a regular basis), and have become desensitized to such things. I honestly enjoyed Krauss's talk and have watched it at least three times, because he covers some very interesting material. Why is "you're made of stardust" a warning sign? It is nothing more or less than the truth, after all.

Thanks for the warm welcome everyone has given me. My next entry to my blog will be a very personal struggle I have been dealing with for over a year. I think I'll be done writing it tonight. I will post the link as soon as its done.

vdub, welcome to the forum.

I've removed the hyperlinks from your posts because you seem to be here to promote your blog rather than interact with the HAF forum members.  Please do not post a link to your blog again till after your screen name turns black (50 posts).  You may want to check out the forum rules too...thanks :)
