Being a huge Star Wars fan, I am not much offended by that particular title. Todays Padawan is tomorrows Jedi Master, after all...

In response to the original post, I abosolutely loooooooooove Subway. I usually (actually just last night as well) get a 12" BMT on Italian Herbs and cheese with provolone, toasted, with lettuce, black olives, banana peppers, green peppers, pickles, and oil and vinegar. MMMMMMmmmmmyum.

I'm not surprised they have Subway in Norway. Pretty sure I read an article a few months ago about Subway outpacing McDonalds as the largest international fast-food chain. Makes sense, ever compared the costs for franchising the two? Subway's franchising fees and startup costs are only about a tenth of what McDonalds are.

And yet, it's so much more healthier, delicious, and fresh (I hope).

Yay for Subway!  :hail:

Was it just me, or did the board just go down for like 15 minutes? Kept trying to post on another thread, all I got was "IE cannot display the webpage". Wasn't my internet though...ESPN.com was working fine. Hmm...

I like IE 8. At the moment, anyways. I've used all of those before...but as of right now...

Firefox 4.0 is having problems displaying a multitude of the sites I visit - especially Facebook and ESPN. Plus, My Norton toolbar which remembers all my passwords is no longer compatible with it. Mozilla has been slacking off recently.
Chrome is good, and I have been using it more and more frequently. It seems better suited at view tha vast majority of websites than any of the above, including IE. But like Firefox, it is not compatible with my Norton toolbar. If it was, I would most likely make it my default browser.
Opera is way to slow and bulky. Never liked the feel of it.
And Safari...well...it's ok, but I've never been a big Apple fan. Plus, it tends to have some problems running on Windows 7 64-bit.

So yeah - that's why I use IE. Besides, I know for a fact that it wasn't my browser that was causing the issue earlier, as I tried it on my Android phone as well (using both the stock Android browser and Dolphin Browser) and still got the same error.  :hmm:

Well, if you're on Windows 7, you should at least upgrade to Internet Explorer 9. It's...decent.

I'm using Firefox 4.0 right now.

Really? I mean, don't get me wrong, Firefox 4 has its fair share of problems, but for the most part, I like it. There aren't any sites I've come across that don't work with it. Are you sure it's not an add-on problem?

And why are using a Norton toolbar? That sounds suckish. Why can't you use a better password manager?

Pfft, Norton. Whatever, man.

Ditto.

Meh.

What add-ons do you have enabled?

Didn't know IE 9 was even out yet. I'll have to download it.

Nope. I disabled all the add-ons, still had the same problems. Also, whenever java or flash automatically updates, no videos or any flash content will work on Firefox until I completely uninstall and re-install both Java & Flash from scratch. One time I even had to re-install Firefox as well. No idea why. But I don't have this problem with IE. Always works, regardless of updates.

QuoteAnd why are using a Norton toolbar? That sounds suckish. Why can't you use a better password manager?

Norton 360 came pre-installed with a years subscription on my laptop. I know it's not the "cool" option anymore, but it's a helluva lot better than awful McAfee and plus I've had problems before with my old computers after uninstalling Norton...it's ghosts would still pop up and conflict with my new antivirus software. So yeah...I just left it there and since it already had a convenient password manager toolbar in IE...well...one thing led to another.

EDIT: You know, on 2nd thought...maybe this wasn't a problem with the Forum or my browser. Maybe it's AT&T finally catching up to my browsing habits, and this is their way of telling me to go to church  :hmm:

Meh. Whatever works for you, I guess.

I use Avast. It's free, lightweight, and seems to work pretty good. Since I know how to handle myself on the Internet and computers in general, I don't need a supercondom like Norton; a skinny-but-effective one like Avast is good enough for me.
