Of all the galaxies in the universe, of all the solar systems in our galaxy, and of all the planets in our solar system, God has an unusual bias toward the planet Earth.  Moreover, of the millions of species on this planet, God has an unusual bias toward one of them, humans.

Is everything really centered around us or did man create god rather than vice versa?

Remember when you were a little kid and you discovered that someone else had the same first name as you? You couldn't understand how or why the world would be so big.

It's like that.

Yes.  It seems like God was created by men who had no idea that a whole universe existed outside of Earth, probably because he was.

Well, we just don't know either of those. Until we find other people in the Universe and they believe like many of our people believe, we don't know.
On the other hand, we don't know if some god communicates in some way with other living things in our world or elsewhere. Either way, the evidence of any god is so low and so bad or non existent (depending on how one views the evidence) that a reasonable person would not believe in such things.

As far as we know, we're it. The evidence for a creator god is so low that it renders the question moot.
The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

Religion lacks objectivity because it was created as a means to try and govern the masses.  If you study the emergence of new religions over time with general disorder of governments you will see stark increases.  Like Judaism in the earlier days, Catholicism, Christianity, Lutherans, Mormons and that is just your Bible based ones.  Unfortunately without a solid foundation in rationalism religion can only take you so far, and never will answer the truly puzzling answers.

Another sign that religion is certainly deep ingrained in our being but yet probably still man made is the study of mental health.  People exhibiting signs of schizophrenia and mania generally have a huge "god" factor, either they are super-religious all the sudden or have the feelings they are Christ or anti-christ, etc.   This is brought on by the fact we have a "God Center" in our brain that when charged up will get us feeling like there is something superior, or we are superior.   The mere fact than additional energy to this part of the brain should be fact enough that this is just something that we have had since we were ape's trying to explain the sun.

I disagree.  I think religion in general, and most specific religions, were the earnest inventions of deluded folk which only later got hijacked and turned into tools of control; and not all of them have been so handled.

Why just after supper, of course.  Hel-lo.
