I am rather bored, so I decided to review... stuff. Feel free to add your own reviews, or to review my reviews.

In honour of Halloween, I have a list of the top 25 candies.

[spoiler:1mf4h3t1]#25, Reese's Fastbreak: It's good, but ultimately it tastes like an odd flavoured peanut butter cup that's in bar form.

#24, Raisinettes: Good overall, but the raisin quality varies greatly from piece to piece. It has a slight earthy taste, but not muddy enough to be unappealing.

#23, 100 Grand: It has an interesting texture, and a decent flavour.

#22, Hershey's Cookies and Cream: Smooth, yet texturally appealing. Good, but I wouldn't go out of my way for one.

#21, Kit-Kat: Decent flavour, superb texture, and a satisfying snap!

#20, Mr. Goodbar: It's a so-so candy bar, but really comes into it's own in the "fun" size. Good for Halloween mix bags.

#19, Peanut Butter Twix: Good all around, but a little too heavy on the PB in my opinion. If it was not in the Twix family then it would be rated higher but, alas, it pales in comparison to it's older sibling.

#18, York Peppermint Patty: Great flavour, but the texture is lacking.

#17, Gummi Bears: Okay texture and flavour.

#16, Skittles: Great flavour, though it can be a bit over powering at times. Decent texture, though it is a bit rough on the teeth.

#15, Ferrero Rocher: Rich flavour, and a blissful texture. I'd rate this higher, but I'm a simple man at heart. It's just a little too decadent for one such as I.

#14, Peeps: Very little in the catagory of flavour, unless you are very skilled at toasting, but the texture and nostalgic quality more than makes up for it. They really shine not as candies, but as an ingredient for cooking.

#13, Almond Joy: Good overall.

#12, M&Ms: Great both texturally, and flavourwise. Though not rated higher due to my having to pick out all the green ones, which is very annoying to do for the tiny ones in the tubes.

#11, Butterfinger: Good flavour, good texture. Nothing remarkable, but a decent bar all around.

#10, Junior Mints: Great flavour, alright texture.

#9, Starburst: Great flavour, so-so texture.

#9, Nestlé Crunch: Great flavour and texture.

#8, Twix: Excellent texture, great flavour.

#7, Reese's. Peanut. Butter. Cups: Nothing more has to be said.

#6, Almon Roca: Great flavour and texture, though it can be a bit hard.

#5, Toblerone: This would be in the top three if I could find a reliable supplier... Why is it so hard to find? They used to be everywhere! Right now I can only get them at a bulk food/health store in Aberdeen.

#4, Baby Ruth: Superb flavour and texture, though it has the unfortunate tendency to crumble all over the place.

#3, Snickers: Aces all around, though it's underwhelming texture means it only gets the bronze.

#2, Sour Patch Watermelon: Flavour and texture scores through the roof, though it's an aquired taste... rather like booze, worchestershire sauce, anchovies, and being spanked.

#1, The Hershey Bar: Classic, flavourful, texturous, and historic. None can deny it's greatness.[/spoiler:1mf4h3t1]

The top six most under rated (Fried) foods.

6, Tempura: When most people think of Japanese food they imagine teriyaki, sushi, yakisoba, or what have you. When I go to a new teriyaki/sushi/japanese restaurant the very first thing I order is tempura. Most people think of tempura as the Japanese version of deep frying... And in a sense that's true, but tempura is an Art. It has a deep symbolism, a rich history, and more importantly it is DAMN good when done right. Tempura is to deep frying what caligraphy is to printing. Special mention must go to okonomiyaki... But I've yet to find any place that has it.

5, Spring Rolls: Eggrolls get all the fame, but these puppies are where the real magic happens. Spring rolls have a lighter, usually rice based, outer shell. This means that, prepared well, they will be airier, snappier, and less greasy/soggy than an eggroll. They also typically come in a smaller, thus better for frying, size. Which is just perfect for fancy parties. It's the Luigi of chinese food.

4, Almond Chicken: It's fried, and then covered in a gravy-esque sauce and almondy goodness. No more can be said of this dish.

3, Mini Tacos: Utter garbage when done badly, but Mini Tacos made by the hand of a skilled cook are a sign from the heavens that humanity is not irredeemable.

2, Scotch Eggs: I cannot review this, as no words can do it justice when done right. Here is what wikipedia says about them. "A Scotch egg consists of a shelled hard-boiled egg, wrapped in a sausage meat mixture, coated in breadcrumbs, and deep-fried. Scotch eggs are commonly eaten cold, typically with salad and pickles."

1, Fried Mushrooms: For some reason this dish is usually put on the appetizer menu, I would be happy with just this and maybe a soup or salad. These little nuggets are perfection on a plate, or in a basket. I've yet to find these done badly, though some places are better than others. Good with ranch.
