Pretty funny. Does he have any other interviews with religious people?

For those that don't know, Ali G is a character created by the same guy who does Borat and Brüno.

I fucking love Ali G.

All his characters are funny as hell.  :yay:

Genius!

He's actually quite a religious dude, found this in an article in the Independant:
QuoteToday, for all his fame and fortune Baron Cohen apparently remains the way he started out: a fairly observant Jew, he does his best to keep kosher and observes the Sabbath with his family whenever possible.
"Family and religion seem to be strong for him," said Strauss this week. "I found it interesting when he said that these traditional qualities are what gave him the courage to play the non-traditional characters he does. As he put it, 'My parents were incredibly loving. And I think that gives you the strength to go out into a crowd of people who hate you'." Even if it isn't "you", but your alter ego, that they really hate.

I don't find Ali G or any other SBC character to be funny at all.  I know, I know - humorless dick alert.  I just don't ever laugh when he's on.

I don't find him particularly funny, I found Borat awful. However through an odd set of coincidences I got to see Bruno, I loved it, laughed all the way through.

I haven't seen Bruno!  Maybe I'd like that one.  I should add that I do like SBC - I would never argue that he isn't funny.  I just, for whatever reason, don't really like his stuff very much.

He plays a gay fashion designer and he goes out with a bunch of Red Necks hunting. If it's not a put up job he's either insane or very brave! And the scene with the dominatrix is just indescribably funny! Pitching a TV programme is also a gem.

Do you know who his academic cousin is?

He had to high tail it out of that rodeo from Borat, too. This guy lives life on the edge. I have my prediction about how he will die.

Well, his uncle (in another thread i erroneously said he was his brother) Simon Baron-Cohen is one of the most eminent psychologists in the UK.
QuoteI find it mistifying that in this age of information, some people still deny the scientific history of our existence.
