I said quite clearly that I spent my food money on it.

I make about 600 dollars a month, sometimes more... Sometimes less. Usually enough to get by.

Like I said, you get to make a choice based on what's more important to you.

I can make arrows and even a bow in various ways from very tooled to the MacGyver method (shoe string and a knife carved piece of wood for the bow and arrows with heads of rocks and thin pieces of wood for the fletching). What do you have in the way of tools and materials?

Are you normal looking with a strong stomach? Gigolos for older women can turn in $300 a trick, $500 to $600 a night. You probably don't need arrows, many domestic animals are very trusting.
Have you thought about setting up a pigeon trap?
You could pluck feathers while watching TV.
And there's always flat meat.

I'm with the rest of the group in that buying a tv instead of food isn't the brightest move.  Perhaps a smaller TV and food is a way to go.  Hunting isn't practical unless you know how to dress your kill.  Bow hunting would require a great deal of energy with very poor results, thereby resulting in burning more calories than you could replace.

As I see it you have three choices that seem the most logical:  Get a job, return the TV, or go hungry.

Actually, if you are good and have a nice compound bow, it doesn't take THAT much. Depends on what you hunt, of course, but compound bows are not heavy to hold while drawn and are thus easy to aim and less cumbersome than composite bows or ye old regular bows.
