Well, personally, I haven't heard any talk about him for quite some time now. As to why people talk about him..? Well, for better or worse, he WAS a superstar and an idol for thousands and thousands and hundreds of thousands of people.

Don't know if he did actually molest any kids, even though I'm inclined to say he did, but that alone is not enough for an idol of his magnitude to simply be forgotten.

Ironically, it would seem the only person who is really interested in talking about the guy here is you.

Fair enough, I was only asking a question.

Interesting to see you back here, Ned. I thought you'd left us. Didn't you say something like, "Who needs this crappy place," something along those lines anyway?

Parents out of town again? Did they leave you plenty of cereal and milk?
Call me J

yup...MJ is old news as far as I'm concerned I was trying to figure out why the thread was titled the way it is since no one I know is talking about MJ; other than in this thread about how they aren't talking about him.

He has had a bit of publicity as it's 1 year since his death and his estate has made over $1billion in that year. Also his father is attempting to sue the doctor who administered the drugs thought to be responsible for Jacksons death. It's just celebrity fluff on a slow news day.

Whether you love the man or hate him, the guy is a music legend. He may have been a terrible human being in regards to what he did with those young-uns, but he remains a music legend for what he contributed in the Jackson 5 and as a solo artist.

He'll always have a big mecca of fans glorifying his status, and it will never end.

Expect this to happen every year around the anniversary of his death, kind of like how people celebrate John Lennon's life every December.

(OH SHIT, I promise I wasn't making a direct comparison between the two men; merely a means of comparing how their deaths are glorified each year!)

Dead people are better.

Well, you wouldn't want hitler still alive now, would you?
Now I can be re-gognizod!

Good lord yes! As long he was safely locked up. What a study into the human psyche! Let's face it, simply hanging him would not make up for what he did so better to examine him closely under supervised conditions.
