Okay, so if you were given a "booth" in which you have (almost) unlimited creative range: what would you do? I've been thrust into this situation all of a sudden and I need a quick solution (it's just a little area that people will look at as they walk by at my son's school. They don't interact or play games or anything of that nature). Needn't be anything marvelous. Just has to be something.  :|

Thanks!

Hmm...can you provide more context.  Like...are you just supposed to make something up or do you have some information to provide, something to sell, a theme?

If I was just going to do a booth at a school and could do whatever I wanted I'd make it about evolution and have really cool dioramas illustrating how life has changed over time....but that's also because I'm in texas and would fear that would be the only chance the kids would have to learn about it.

This might be completely inappropriate since I don't have much context. How about making a big graph going from left to right showing some metric over time, lets say infant mortality or life expectancy. Then attach pictures of how people likely lived in those times along the graph as time goes by, whether living in trees or cities with all the modern conveniences.

Oh, sorry. It's not science fair-esque or educational oriented. More on the artsy side. Basically anything goes. Apparently one guy painted himself gold and sat in a trash can one year. I'd rather not sit in a trash can.  :raised: What is this?

Paper mache octopus came to mind.  I don't know why.  Or, you could do an art project with all recycled materials.  I watch a bunch of crating blogs for ideas for my wedding, I can give you some links if you like?

make a canstruction piece then donate the cans to a charity after the event is over

Place mirrors on three sides of the booth on the inside, leaving the front of the booth open allowing people to look in. Then put a sign at the top that says: "The Meaning Of The Universe."

This is what I would do in a booth:

Quote... you could put one end of this in the booth:

:raised: What is this?

It's a clever simulation of a trans-Atlantic telescope.

One side is in London, the other in New York.

It's done with cameras and monitors, but dressed as steam-punk tech.

Dunno how long the installation was running, but it looked pretty cool.

I would make a cloud chamber, hours of fun.

That telectroscope was near the mayor's office for a few months, I wasn't overly impressed when I saw an American through it, I was expecting them to be bigger.

(my spelling, grammer, and punctuation suck, I know, but regardless of how much I read they haven't improved much since grade school. It's actually a bit of a family joke.
