Another Californian here!

Hello,

I'm a free-thinking Californian who believes in people's inner strength. I am a 20-something newlywed who moved to a place in Southern California where it's really hard to meet good people. I'm really open and accepting of others, as long as they give the same courtesy, but most of the people I meet here are very closed minded and only interested in the shallowest of conversations. I get really discouraged because I would love to have more meaningful conversations every once in a while. :-(

I definitely can relate with people who can think for themselves and not rely on faith alone to answer questions. Although I think that some people NEED to believe in something, so I get that too.

So, HI! Drop me a line any time! :-)

Thanks! What is a good way to get started? I've already been commenting on other people's posts. Should I start one of my own? I know nothing about this site. Can you "subscribe" to people or become friends with them?

Thanks Whitney!

Hi-yo, Silver!

Nice to meet you...

I'm in Los Angeles, so not too far away.

There's a lot of nice folks here (and always some fire and brimstone  :headbang: )

Have a look around, and enjoy the party,

You can keep on replying or start a post of your own..whatever you want.  On forums if you start a post of your own it's generally a good idea to do a quick search and make sure a current post on that topic doesn't already exist.

You can click on someone's profile and add them as a friend, but all that basically does it make them easier to find if you want to send them a private message...it's not nearly as complicated as Atheist Nexus or Facebook.
