I've been thinking about it lately, with all the controversy going on and how politically sensitive it is here in the states it has been on my mind for awhile but why does it seem like the far right are so particularly crazy opposed to the far left? I know i'm a liberal myself but it isn't hard to step back and look at it from a 3rd person perspective, both sides have their crazies  but why does the far right seem so far more crazy? Someone recently posted a troll involving conservapedia and that was the first time i've ever heard or seen it and it blew me away at just how really crazy the right seems, I then proceeded to look for a liberalpedia and found out shortly thats what people who browse conservapedia  call Wikipedia, what is with the lunacy? I seriously don't get it and I know there are conservative members here, has anyone else noticed the crazy ratio going on?

From an outside perspective, i'd agree with you completely. I invest a great deal of time watching and reading about the goings-on in the US and to me, it seems the right have a much louder voice. They currently seem rather more crazy than ever. I certainly don't remember such outright lies and venom from the left during the Bush reign.

But then what do i know? I'm just a leftist limey pussy. :)

I'm not too hot on my US history. Can anyone tell me if there has been such polarisation of political opinion in recent US history? Or is this as bad as it's ever been?
QuoteI find it mistifying that in this age of information, some people still deny the scientific history of our existence.

I think the whole question is set up and worded without any real solid basis in fact. Terms like the right and the left and conservative and leftist serve only to further bad stereotypes when used like this, without any real definition. Are we talking all political, or also social, religious, and economic values here?

You have to separate all those out. I find the topic and the discussion so far to be something of a less than thought out argument. As a skeptic, I'd question every facet of this, including the original premise it's based on.

This era of American history is no different in regards to political opposition than any other time that I know of. We did fight a civil war 150 years ago.

So my answer would be that no, there are no more right wind fringers than left, or that it's more pronounced now than 1798, 1853, or 19xx.

I agree.  It's unfortunate that newscasters throw these terms around without providing any definition.  I'm watching less news these days because of that propensity.

I grew up in the deep south. You'll be surrounded by idiots no matter where you go, but down there they have some kind of extremely well organized form of ignorance. I'm just glad I escaped 3 years ago.

Good show! But I still can't figure out why Blair Brown's character is still alive. I'm totally baffled. She was murdered in an episode, and the next thing I know, she's back, with no explanation! What the hell did I miss?

I don't remember exactly which episode, but it was at the very end of the episode, and Blair Brown's character gets on an elevator to go somewhere. When the doors open up, you see a shot of her face on, looking surprised at seeing someone she knows standing there. You don't see who it is, but they point a gun at her and shoot her dead.

EDIT: Found it! Here is the episode.

Last sentence at the bottom. apparently they did address it in the next episode. She didn't die. She also has a bionic arm? WTF?

Tranquilizer? Geez, I thought it was a silencer on a pistol. Serves me right for missing the first half of the following episode.

I'll get caught up on my missing episode on Hulu. Love Hulu!

That makes more sense now (yes she has a mechanical arm lol).  BTW since you mentioned Hulu just gonna let you know they may be getting bought out and we won't get to see free T.V. shows in it.  I read about it from an article on reddit.
