I'm back.  Life, it seems, insists on pulling me away and putting me back at random.  Been talking to the Christians on another forum, just to see what would happen if I tried hanging out in an alternate environment.  They vaporized a few of my original posts that didn't contain anything offensive (because atheists aren't allowed just anywhere on their boards), and let me know how far the chains on my shackles would let me reach, but other than the astounding display of censorship, they're pretty alright.

I prefer you guys and gals.  And it isn't just because most of the people here don't believe in gods.    :D

Hey PipeBox --- I don't think we talked ever - I myself have been absent from the forum for a ridiculous amount of time.  Honestly, it was probably most of a whole year.  Anyway, welcome back!

Hi, nice to meet you. I am new here....but seems we are more tolerant of the god believers than they of us....has always been my experience......although my patience and tolerance seems to be running out lately....LOL!

Heh, you're not entirely alone, but hanging out with the Christians, it's hard to begrudge them for something they really don't understand.  Reminds me: that forum has an explicit rule against theistic evolution.  Christians discussing it will be banned.  No justification is given for this rule, but I could promise them it promotes ignorance.  It neatly separates it into "give up your faith, wholesale, to be in line with science" or "You believe in God, so simultaneous creation and literal Genesis is part of the package."   As I say, I don't begrudge the Christian users their unreasoned beliefs, but the admin disgusts me.

But I aim to be well known here, and along the way I aim to get to know people like you.
