Going to See Michael Shermer...woot!

I just saw that Michael Shermer will be giving a lecture at the local community college in Victoria, Texas for their Lyceum Lecture series on April 7th - HELL YES!  It's at 9 a.m. and admission is FREE!!  Another great thing is in Victoria most people probably have no friggin' clue who he is - maybe I can worm my way into lunch or something - that is if he actually gets to stick around, most have to jet right after the talk.  I missed Donald Johanson and Francis Collins since I've been gone but I did get to hear James Watson speak and met him briefly with a small group years ago - it was all of like two minutes.

Sweet!  I like Dr. Shermer --- he always seems to offer a sound voice of reason.  That's totally cool that you get to go hear him speak - have fun!

My mistake, it was the less odious Templeton foundation that he has been jumping to the defense of (was confusing the two). I can't find the the video on youtube where he started yelling at buddy on the stage, and defending them, but here is an article where he defends his relationship with them: http://richarddawkins.net/articleCommen ... ccom,page2
