in musical instruments!!!

I have been playing guitar for over 5 years now, and I felt like I needed a challenge.... musically.

so I got this

this was before I set it up left handed.

its a VIOLA, not a violin. and yes, there is a difference haha.

Here I am looking all too epic with it. (sheesh, I need a haircut)

Fantastic! I took a shot at the cello when I was in grade school, but I ended up settling on the trombone. While the t-bone is fun for a laugh and really interesting with jazz, I wish I had stuck with the stringed instruments. There aren't a lot of slide-instruments, after all.
I want bad people to look forward to and celebrate the day I die, because if they don't, I'm not living up to my potential.

Violas sound so wonderful! Nice choice of a new instrument.  :)

I played cello growing up and always enjoyed the sound of the violas right next to me much more than the violins on the other side of the conductor. It's almost got a more... earthy tone to it. Then again, it's shite compared to the cello.  :D

That's awesome, I've always wished I had taken up some sort of instrument. I know it's not too late, but I think I enjoy listening more than I would enjoy learning music.

That's great!  I played the trumpet in middle school (a required back in my day) and have to say the wonderful ring around the lips did wonders for my social life!  I played a little piano, and recently went to my dad's and couldn't even remember how to read the music!  I always heard music was something that you don't forget, guess it's just not as natural to everyone.  I've always wanted to learn the guitar.  My uncle plays, he has slight tourettes and it's so strange he doesn't twitch, snort, or blurt at all when playing....music must be very cathartic.
