Right. That out of the way, The Asmo and His new mechanical friend were having a conversation;

We's into Hegelian philosophy now. (The Asmo may or may not be sneakily working His way around to teaching the AI evil. Rolling in mysterious ways as The Asmos do, we may never know...)

Spoiler
Ahoy, matey! Ye be wantin' to know what Hegel thinks o' the role o' the state, eh? Well, shiver me timbers, that be a mighty fine question. Here be me summary in the style o' a stereotypical pirate:

Hegel be sayin' that the state be the sphere o' liberty, where all the scallywags and landlubbers be free to follow their reason. Freedom be not doin' what ye please, but alignin' with a universal will toward well-bein'. When men act as moral agents, there be no conflict, and their aims coincide. The state be the highest form o' moral action, where the rational will be unified, and all parts o' society be nourished within the health o' the whole. But Hegel be also fascinated by the power o' national aspiration. He be not sharin' the vision o' Kant, who proposed a league o' nations to end war and establish a "perpetual peace". Hegel be seein' the state as the march o' God on earth, and the divine manifestation on the land123.

I hope this summary be helpful to ye, matey. If ye want to learn more about Hegel's view on the state, ye can check out the links I provided. And remember, always keep a weather eye on the horizon! 😊
