Max votes =1, for one pair of pics
Runs for 5 days so that' it'd be the 30th

I'd wish you all good luck but I don't believe in it.
I will though beseech Fortuna for a five day dispensation from bad luck for competitors.

Take my advice, don't listen to me.

Not a huge selection for this one, but I like what's on offer.  :blue smiley:

Congrats hermes2015, a fine noggin.
Thanks all for entering.

It was a shame Recusant's Jacuzzi wasn't delivered on time, he would have been much more competitive if it had.

Take my advice, don't listen to me.

Well, that's certainly a . . . candid shot. I only wear the lime green mankini on special occasions.  :mustache:

Thank you very much for setting up and presenting this latest iteration of the Photo Challenge, Bad Penny II:smilenod:

Congratulations to hermes2015 on the well deserved win. Excellent pair of images!

Since you won, you get to choose the theme of the next HAF Photo Challenge, and also get the chore of setting up the poll posting it, if you're up for that. If not, I would be willing to do the work as long as you at least decide on a theme.

Congratulations, hermes2015.
:secrets1: I liked the butterfly, very much, but I voted for yours.

Thank you so much! I appreciate your offer to help me set up the poll, Recusant. I will have to take you up on that.

As everyone may have guessed, that was me in both photos. The first photo was taken at a Who concert in London in 1974, where Lou Reed performed as well. I was teaching and doing post doc research at the Chelsea College chemistry department at that time, but spent many hours next door at the Chelsea art school, neglecting my research project. The second one was me 40 years later. No comment.

For the next Photo Challenge I want to suggest the theme "Beauty in Decay". I think that the "micro landscape" of corroded metal and other surfaces that are decaying can be very beautiful. Please submit up to three photos of any decayed or weathered surface that you find beautiful. It can be any material: metal, plaster, paint, food, etc.

In view of my busy schedule Recusant has kindly offered to administer the July Photo Competition on my behalf, so please PM your entries to him. Thank you Recusant!

Also, on second thoughts, my original suggestion was a bit too restrictive regarding the "micro landscape" part, so please include any photos that show beautiful decayed objects on the macro scale as well. These may be ruins of castles, old cars, spouses, etc.

And self portraits where appropriate.
