The Buttermilk Complex in Texas

No, this is not about a Texas recipe for pancakes.  The Buttermilk Complex is an archaeological site about 20 miles from where I live in Bell County in Central Texas.  It is located along Buttermilk Creek.  The first site to be excavated was the Gault Site, which yielded Clovis artifacts from over 9,000 years ago.  Then, a few years later, the Debra L. Friedkin Site was located about 250 yards downstream.  Surprisingly, it has levels that may show human habitation going back 15,500 years, the oldest in the USA.  People have been coming to Texas for 16 millennia.
