If religions were TV channels atheism is turning the TV off.

They're beautiful - a bit like Giacometti sculptures. How would anyone know to do this?

That is INSANELY stupid. Just fucking dumb. Molten metal and water have a nasty tendency to cause steam explosions. Not every time, sure, but it happens regularly enough that a search of YouTube will turn up accidents where the people involved were extremely lucky.

His face shield would protect his face - for a second or two - but what about those bare legs and arms?! Just imagine molten aluminum flung onto your body. Then imagine those hydrating balls catching a puddle long enough to "pop" and do exactly that.

You can cast metal, even in your backyard, relatively safely but some of these guys on YouTube are asking for a world of hurt if they ever do have an accident. Tennis shoes, pouring over concrete, shorts, no gloves, not even safety glasses on some of these guys. Not thank you. I won't be trying that!

Anybody know what the "SpitBalls" are made from? I looked on the website, but it doesn't list the composition, it only states they are non-toxic.

If the guy begind the tongs knows what he's about, then it's not all that dangerous. Of course, one can argue that if he did, in fact, know what he was about, then he'd be wearing something with a higher thermal insulation capacity than a t-shirt.

My point exactly. Honestly, I'm more worried about the dog than the guy. He ought to know better, or do a quick google search for what can go wrong and take appropriate precautions. The dog is there because... well because it's his dog and dogs love their people. Rover has no more idea of what's going on than that it's a nice day and he gets to be outside with his friends.
