It doesn't matter. The boards (sections) are all finished aside from maybe minor tweaking. The rest... It's all down to numbers relating to other numbers, and I have that under control, sp tpoic away!  8)

I noticed in at least one thread (Reasons to be Grumpy) that the last post before today was December 31, 2014. Not sure if we're missing posts or the dates on posts are just off, as I'm not sure what was there before the crash
"Great, replace one book about an abusive, needy asshole with another." - Will (moderator) on replacing hotel Bibles with "Fifty Shades of Grey"

Asmodean Prime

That is correct (missing posts), as there are about 92000 posts left to port :-)

For some reason I can visualize threads and replies in the moderator section, but can't reply to threads or start new threads. The rest of the forum is normal. I don't know if the other moderators are having this same problem or if it's just something on my end.

I just looked through the error logs for today, and don't see anything for you. I also checked your permissions, and it appears that there is nothing wrong. May not be on this end.

How odd.  :(

LOL I can't even edit my own posts, the quote and modify buttons just aren't there.   :o *speechless*

I asked BCE if she's having the same problem, I'll wait until she replies.

May be some membergroup nonsense going on. Will need looking into.

Universal mod user group is the one you need to look at.

What's the difference between Universal mod and Global mod?

As far as I can tell, they're the same. This version of the forum software just uses a different term, "global" where the previous version used "universal."

Ah, OK. Good.  ;D
I prefer the term "global" over "universal" because the latter reminds me of the Universal Church of the Kingdom of God, which is on par with Scientology in my opinion. Just as immoral and crackpot crazy.

Cool. Some might see it as a demotion.

I can see why some would see it that way, but it could be a simple reminder to stay down to Earth.   :P

Yes, well, as long as it's a BIG globe, I say.

In any case, we have three administrative ranks: Moderator, Global Moderator and Administrator. A Moderator moderates specific boards, a global mod moderates everything and admins do the more technical kind of stuff.

As far as I know, we have no regular moderators, nor do we really need any except maybe a mod dedicated to the general discussion area (Laid back lounge, introductions and the like) for fast troll-related response and removing unwanted links in posts. Still, we are reasonably well-staffed for a forum this size.

A big globe, yes.  8)

A bigger globe would have stronger gravity, which would make it easier to stay down to Earth. Ironically.

I need more coffee.  ;D
