Hello, everyone! My name is Paul, and I'm a seventeen year old Atheist living in Alabama. I enjoy playing video games, watching anime, reading manga, and studying mathematics and science. This site is what sort of makes me mentally sane, because I am the only Atheist that attends my school. Anyways I hope all of you are having a great day!

Hi Paul

I bet you're not the only atheist at your school. I bet there'll be others keeping their heads down in the face of the Christian multitudes. Glad we can offer a safe haven here to express your true feelings without fear of judgement or attack.

Thanks for making the effort to sign up and join in.

Welcome to HAF.

Regards
Chris

Hello and welcome to HAF, KokuujinYukikaze. What anime and manga are you currently watching/reading, and which are your favorites? I used to read and watch some, but haven't in a while. I did use Hikaru no Go to get young relatives interested in the game of Go, and that seemed to work alright. The American Go Foundation also uses it to get young people motivated to learn.

I hope that you enjoy your time reading and posting here.

I know a pretty cool Alabama-atheist. Have not spoken to him in quite some time, but I'm sure he's just busy with the university and whatnot...

In any case, heard some redneck stories, so I can't say I envy your geographical location, palms and warm summers or no.

Welcome! Here, being misunderstood can usually be corrected by a proper explanation. Offerings to His Grayness, Asmo the Terrible go to the left, offerings to His Omnipuddingness go to the right.

It might also be worth mentioning we are in a Mr Men dress up phase at the moment!!

...And Asmo, he is being sneaky and dressing as The Asmo. And no-one will ever suspect...  :D

Welcome to the forum.  I don't watch a lot of anime.  I'm pretty busy saving the world.  It seems every time I turn super saiyajin 4 a bad guy shows up with a power level slightly higher than mine.

I find most anime about as silly as most of them teen flicks on TV. No entertainment value for me what so ever. Same with superhero movies/comics, unless some seriously cool CG or other artwork is involved and/or the superhero dies.

And don't even get The Gray One started on the eyes! Ooh, them eyes...  >:(

Welcome to the forum!  :)
You are among people who feel just like you. So don't worry. No one will shove down any religious mumbo jumbo down your throat. I'm here for chit chat if you need anyone!

Hey Paul, a warm welcome to you!

Oh man, do I remember what it was like to feel misunderstood in highschool. It's amazing to me how the time's flown by since then.  :D

I hope you enjoy HAF. We're a friendly bunch, we're here for you, and I'm glad you've found us!

Welcome. I watched a bit of anime in my teens and early 20's. My favorites were Akira, most things by Miaizaki (Spirited Away, Princess Mononoke), Death Note, Neo Genesis, and Metropolis are a few I really liked that instantly come to mind.

Welcome to the forum, glad you got free of the myth this early on.  You will be able to move every step of the way forward thinking for yourself, that's a lot better off than some of your friends who are trapped in the thoughts of religiousness.

Some great conversations around here, hope you enjoy yourself.
