We actually had a bit of similar thing happen here in Finland, pretty soon after the discussion on tv about gay rights after which some 50,000 people walked out of the church in under a month...

Over here though it was actually done by a youth group (scary, but I just have to wonder who came up with that idea...), and instead of posters the whole campaign was built around a video. The campaign was called "Don't submit", and the video was about a girl that in the vid was named "Anni", and she told how she had been "cured". With help from "god". I actually intended to watch the vid to get more specific answers but I just can't bring myself to listen to more then a minute of it. And it's 10:55 long. It's still in YouTube, but rating and comments have been disabled (what a shock). Also, I like how they seem to equate being gay with being a slave (they quote Gal 5:1 at the end). Also, the purpose of the camping was ultimately to "encourage young people to build their world view based on the bable and resist the pressure from society" (as in this groups view the society is "pro-gay", apparently. Ah the iron-y)

Anyway, the response was as it should be. Outrage, ridicule and all the good stuff, to the point where the Church withdrew its support and funding to the campaign. Right before saying that they had nothing to do with it. And even better, a group of other youths made a response video:

It's subtitled in English, if you put those on. Just put everything "Maria" says on its head and you have a pretty good idea what "Anni" said...

"Any sufficiently advanced alien is indistinguishable from a god."
