Aw, toads are fun!  They really come out in the spring time here in Northern Virginia.  And we have tree frogs that come out and sing at night.  We call them Spring Peepers.  It's just not spring with out their chorus!

Then a little later, when the spring rains come, if you live near a wooded area, sometimes the toads come out and cover the road and hop around.  It's easy to see where people get the idea of it's raining frogs!

I think of them as little friends who help out in the garden.   :)

How many toads can you see in this picture I took at Lotherton Hall?

"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Wiggum:"You have that much faith in me, Homer?"
Homer:"No! Faith is what you have in things that don't exist. Your awesomeness is real."

"I was thinking that perhaps this thing called God does not exist. Because He cannot save any one of us. No matter how we pray, He doesn't mend our wounds.

Norbert has a friend:

Problem is I now don't know which one's Norbert!!

So I picked up the largest one and took a photo. Now you can see he's pretty good sized.

The essence of the mind is not in what it thinks, but how it thinks. Faith is the surrender of our mind; of reason and our skepticism to put all our trust or faith in someone or something that has no good evidence of itself. That is a sinister thing to me. Of all the supposed virtues, faith is not.

This is really good. Amphibians in general are in a bit of a decline. It's nice to see a bit of population growth.
