Can you imagine?  How amazing.

On a complete side note, I've noticed that all of the ads that I get on the BBC videos appear to be American (anyway, they all have US accents.)  Is that because I'm viewing it from a US IP, or do the Brits just save money by not making their own commercials?   :P

They must be US adverts as there are no adverts on the BBC in the UK. It's funded from the TV Licence and income from overseas sales of programmes.

The Trieste's story is pretty amazing, but is incomprehensible that we never followed up on that achievement. Now we could do a lot with ROVs and we could learn a lot more about life on our planet.

A Japanese ROV has been snooping around down there for quite a while now.
