I do this sometimes, I post something that contributes nothing whatsoever to the discussion.  It's like a written form of a drive-by.

Are you sure God does not exist?

We can't be sure of the non-existence of anything. However, experience, knowledge and reason allow us to take an educated guess as to how confident we can be that a certain entity does not exist.

Consider the degree of confidence that you, the reader, have in the non-existence of the Tooth Fairy. I would guess that for most, the degree of confidence would be very close to certainty. Now compare the claims made on behalf of the Tooth Fairy to those made on behalf of god.

Tooth Fairy: Exchanges teeth for cash
god: Zapped up an entire universe and all life forms with a magic wand.

If you have not done any reading on the size of the universe, take a look at some of the Hubble Ultra Deep Field images. God zapped this shit up with his magic wand, apparently.

Now, which of the two claims, Tooth Fairy and god, is more likely to be true? It's the Tooth Fairy, and by a factor of more than hundreds of billions.

So, whatever degree of confidence you have that the Tooth Fairy is fictional, you can be almost infinitely more confident that god does not exist.

What makes you so sure that god does not exist?

For the very same reasons which theists use to dismiss the Tooth Fairy.

What evidence of god you need to make you believe in god?

Today I prayed to god to stop catholic priests from raping children. Let's see if he comes through for me (and for the kids). If he does, I'll start believing.

Why is there god, rather than no god?

*puts on theist cap* .......duhhhhh, because something had to create the universe. (but nothing had to create god, coz he's all special and magic and shit)
