Ray Comfort A.K.A. “The Banana Man” out on the streets of Huntington Beach the day after Christmas encounters an atheist and takes him on.

I thought this was pretty exciting to watch...

I suggest someone be the first person to post this on Reddit...I would but I gotta get out the door...

I feel sorry for Comfort. He's fighting for his social norms but he's entirely out of touch with reality and winds up humiliating himself. Interesting though. Good find!

man... I love Ray, he gave me some good laugh.
but seriously, does anyone think he got some mental illness.
Off course there is a god , Who else do you thinks brought us pastas?

joeactor

uh... where was the atheist?  Behind the rabbit?

Meh.  I've seen better confrontations.  Heck, I've had better confrontations.

Comfort's easy prey, but this guy didn't do anything to challenge him at all.

Free money, tho,

I've been thinking about the video more. I take back what I said above. I wasn't being honest with myself. The things that Ray Comfort says and does are Ray Comfort's responsibility. I feel no pity for him.

ok well here's where the issue is. "are you a good person" he answers yes, and comfort nails him for it over and over. only God is good, he states. he didn't ask if he was a good being, just "person" and people as defined by christians, commit all or most of the sins in the book. If he commits less than the number of sins the average person commits, he is a "good person" as opposed to a normal person. random dude ftw comfort ftl once again. maybe more to video though. I, like the audience in the background, slowly lost interest and "walked away".
Is God willing to prevent evil, but not able? Then he is not omnipotent.
Is he able, but not willing? Then he is malevolent.
Is he both able, and willing? Then whence cometh evil?
Is he neither able nor willing? Then why call him God?

At this point isn't Ray Comfort essentially a punch line?

I think a slightly incorrect vid was posted by the OP.

This one would be more appropriate as it features an atheist pwning banana man:

Yeah I saw that one too (and wanted to post it, but couldn't figure out how) Bruce and Frank did ruffle crazy Ray's feathers a bit didn't they.
I had to go look up the " banana man" thing because I'd never heard of it. The banana vid was one of the stupidest (although funny) videos I've ever watched. Even Kirk Cameron couldn't suppress an embarrassed giggle.

I remember Matt Dillahunty on the Atheist Experience laughing at this.  Since banana's were engineered by humans and they don't grow in the wild (Plantains do but not bananas) Matt would say that humans have one upped God by making a tastier, better product.

And Matt would be right.
I did not know that they were hybrids, I should have, since the bananas don't have seeds, but it just never occurred to me.
