I know exactly what you mean (I think) -- all my photos make me look as if I'd either just committed ax murder or am thinking about it.  And that isn't even remotely true.

The forced smile doesn't help, maybe if the photographer was fast it'd be OK, but once I hold a smile for more than thirty seconds the absurdity of existence strikes me, and it shows, kinda like a stroke victim.

My friends and I call it "dead eye syndrome". When you're forced to hold the "smile" pose for more than 2 seconds, your eyes go "dead" and it makes you look bored/dead inside/psycho
"We've thought of life by analogy with a journey, with pilgrimage which had a serious purpose at the end, and the THING was to get to that end; success, or whatever it is, or maybe heaven after you're dead. But, we missed the point the whole way along; It was a musical thing and you were supposed to sing, or dance, while the music was being played.

Yes. And The Asmo usually DOES wear that very facial expression due to the natural curvature of his mouth  :D

I was just now thinking to myself how your humanoid and your clay incarnations have similar meanings broadcast by their miens - and then I noticed this thread and realized, hey, this could provide me an opportunity to voice my perception - and then I noticed your post, and realized, hey, look, opportunity is presenting itself with a vengeance - and then I realized, holy shit, serendipity, which can only mean one thing:

Asmo is God! :o

Careful, or you could get a warning for a personal attack!  ;)

You know, it does say Asmodeus Caesar for a reason :P

wrath and dark clouds gather force.

I have this one, it does have a coat hanger shaped icon in it.
I'm using the hold camera, extend arm and shoot method.
We were on our way home from the zoo, a long day.
My pal there starts the third year of her psych degree in about six weeks.
It is a flawed photo but it's one I've kept in view for a long time.

Cecilie

Pudding smiling. Never thought I'd see that. :)

I do have a range of emotions you know, oh well a range may be a grandiose claim but I do have more than one.
More than one is a range, I have a range of emotions world, see me be slightly less scowley.

Even The Asmo has more than one. Two, actually.

Grumpy and lumpy. That makes three if the two are combined.  ;D

Villainous pudding monologue mode:

To whom it may concern: bwa ha ha.
I've been noticing things, Asmo devotional threads=17 Pudding devotional threads=-7.
Never has the Asmodean been as vulnerable as he is now.
He has ears and at least one nose, hair waiting to be seized drawing in the skull for crushing by cruel insentient cogs, (don't you say anything about the use of cruel and insentient unless you,,, just don't) the possibilities for distraction are obvious.
Should we (we means me, it's a villain thing) precipitate or stick to plan?
Let him make  the enemies and the devotees, and when he wins out the assassin strikes, I strike the assassin.  The enemies are assuaged the devotees transfer their devotion to the pudding. And why not the pudding! settle settle...
Yes we will be patient, stick to our (our means mine, it's a villain thing) plan.

not your typical...

I didn't have anything less staged, so...
You're beautiful. :D

Cecilie - stunning as always
Determined Juliet - also very gorgeous.
Budhorse4 - Hmm, I'm a little puzzled by your photo - (just joking)

For the guys - well sorry I'm a terrible judge of the beauty of guys.

All up, just a normal bunch of people, who would have thought.
